Special Places to Eat Snacks

Does anyone else's dog have their own special little place that they have to eat all their treats and special snackies in? If Clyde gets a Milkbone, he takes it and runs to the "treat pillow," which is actually the smaller of the two beds that we have out for the boys in the living room. No matter where we move the bed, it's where he eats the treat.

This morning, I gated off the kitchen because it's raining and the backyard is all muddy and nasty. The boys came in from outside and I wiped their feet and got them their morning Milkbones. Bear just plopped down with his on the runner by the door but Clyde held his in his mouth and started looking all frazzled. I told him to eat in the kitchen and went in the bathroom to get ready. About 30 seconds later, he came in the bathroom, bone still in his mouth, headbutted me and walked to the gate that separated the kitchen from the rest of the house. He started grunting, which means he needs something and I knew what the problem was. I opened the gate so he could get out and he tore over to the treat pillow and started eating the bone that he'd been holding on to. For all his love of food, I think it's hilarious that he has to have his special eating situation. :)

That made me smile this morning :D

Foz usually runs off into the living room to eat his ice cubes and treats. He figures he's out of Annie's way at least until she's finished with her own goodies.
Yes, Phoebe will generally take her treat to her cushion in the family room. Also, if she thinks she's done something wrong, she'll go there. It seems to be her "safe" place.
That's funny. What a character that Clyde is.

The wigglebums don't really have a special place to eat their every day treats. But, if I give them their Everlasting Treat Balls, Beau goes to the loveseat in the living room and Genevieve goes into the study. Eventually, Genevieve will steal Beau's from him and take them both into the study, then stand guard at the entrance to keep him from getting it back. Poor boy. :( His big sister is so mean to him.

I have to take it back from her and give it to him several times before they're finished.
Sami takes off the the living room, Blue runs out side, my poodle finds a closet becasue Blue tracks her down and trys to eat hers.
Barney has a couple spots. For his morning Milkbone, he has to eat it on his food/beverage rug, which is in the breakfast room.

But, any other treat, he'll grab it and run to the family room and eat it in front of the tv. Just like daddy

Miss Ellie heads straight for the rug in my office.
The old boy Izzy would always take treats and rawhides to a table in the corner and eat his stuff underneath :D It was like his own private cave.
When Maggie gets a bone, she runs back and forth from the kitchen to the dining room again and again and again until she finally settles down on the dining room rug to enjoy it.

When Chumley gets a bone, she will either settle down at work on it right there or she will bolt out of the dog door and hide it in the yard. Days later, Chum will show up with a dirty bone from the yard.

Also, whenever Maggie walks away from her bone, Chum gets up and runs over to steal it.
When Violet gets a treat she either goes just inside the door to my bedroom or goes outside to the backyard through the doggy door and lays on the slab of cement there and eats away. Sheepies are such creatures of habit.

When it is time for breakfast, Violet is so funny...I will set her bowl down and then she goes outside, does her business and comes back in and eats. She has done this everyday of her life since she moved in with us 5 years ago. :D :(
ok guys this is so wrong but my 3 each have a cookie in bed yes mine! but they don't have coffee with it
Nigel has a special place he takes the things he is not supposed to have. It is the rug in my bedroom...occasionally he will take a toy there too.
Chauncey will only take a treat when he's on his doggie bed in the living room. When he comes in from the yard he goes immediately to the bed....I have to take it to him ( okay, so I'm the one that's trained ).

He is not a counter surfer but when I leave a dishcloth too close to the edge or a stray sock in the laundry room, he can snatch it un-noticed while your standing beside him. We know he's up to no good when he runs to his bed. It's where he goes with his bounty.
A.M. cookie, Panda runs outside to the grass and plays with it before she eats it...ie...tosses it up in the air, pounces on it...then eats it...

P.M. cookie, she drools all over like pavlov till you give it to her, then she takes it to the rug in the family room...same spot every time...in front of the tv
Ew...Bella is a drooler too!!! Nigel used to toss his cookie around before eating it...that was before Bella the piggy came to be part of our family... now it's a race.:D
