trimming under belly area

Well, I just finished shaving Sami down just in areas where my groomer left to long. Blue, I really still do not want to do. But I do want to shave belly area... Do I use # 10? I have never had clippers on him and HE IS a whinny baby, just plucking his ears  How do I cut around his privates? I never had a male to know what to do there. So I am really just want to get under his belly and pits. I may give up later and do all of him, (I do not want to he is to cute) but his fur is much easier then Sami? That or I am getting better 8)

I use a #10 for the belly and privates.
As for the privates, just trim all over.
I'd just scissor it around the junk unless he's a huge squirmer. Sometimes you can razor burn those delicate areas with clippers.
I think you are supposed to leave hair on the end to help direct the stream of urine. So don't get to carried away!
Never had a case of razor burn yet. Knock on wood!

I don't leave a tip, it grows back fast enough and that area knots quickly.
Go at it with a # 10 if he's never been clipped. Barkley, now that he's used to it, gets done with a #30 so that I don't have to do it as often. No razor burn as yet.

Trim everything.
thanks everyone, last nite I just scissored half of belly, he was all WHAT are you doing. But I am getting there David still wants me to shave him down for the summer, NOT summer yey and I just do it. Not ready for my baby to be shaved yet. And he is not matting to bad. I also ran my mars stripping comp over his legs where it was real think and it did pull lots out, so if that work I am good to go.
