My previous two sheepies did but Dutch doesn't seem to care in fact she just gives that what are you doing look then turns around to get a kiss on the nose  |
Rufus shoves his head between our legs & stops wedged halfway through so his rear sticks out in front, then he turns his head back as if to say 'go on then' he loves his hips scratched  |
| Maggie, my parents' old sheepie, used to do this. And my husband, back when we were dating ALWAYS rubbed her bum...but then he got to leave and left my poor parents with an obnoxious backing up sheepie looking to get scratched! Barney takes what he can get, but he doesn't go for the all out back up... |

Yep, same here, especially with MO. She so loves her bum scrach, the dances from one rear foot to another all the while wiggling her stub. She'll present her face to her Daddy for ear scratches, I get the bum |
Pirate is bum scratch addict! When I sit on the couch (or toilet  ) he backs up to me for his treat.Actually, when I'm on the couch, he backs up, lifts both of his hind legs up on the couch, balancing on his front legs. He knows that's a surefire "Mom will rub my tush, cuz I'm so cute like this!" |
| Phoebe will wiggle around until her backside is nearest you so you will scratch her. In the evening, she likes to sit on the sofa between my husband and I. We joke about who will get the rear. |

Bella is the first dog I've ever had that wanted her butt scratched more than her head. I'm glad this thread started because I thought that she was just being her weird self. The only problem I have with scratching her back side is she usually repays me by passing TOXIC gas in my direction. Darn good thing she is so loveable.  |
| Merlin does it a bit, but Panda is the bum massage expert!
He's somehow managed to "train" all the people at the offleash park that he wants his bum scratched by racing up to them and doing the backward movement you described. Then he thrills the humans with bum wiggles so that they are rewarded by their behavior. Hmmm who is teaching who?

| Butt scratch dances aren't just a sheepie thing. Pyrs love it too. Hannah 1 (Pyr) was notorious for nearly knocking us down going between our legs for butt scratches. Hannah Rose is Hannah (Pyr) come back in that she is a big butt scratch fan. |

| Chauncey is a butt boy, he loves his bum scratched. When we scratch him he turns around and looks at us and while we scrathing his butt, he does the dance and I swear he smiles. If we're not paying attention he will back up to us and rub his butt on or legs It's like pigs do on fences in the barnyard. He's never been a leg humper so I guess this isn't as bad, at least it's more socially acceptable to guest. |
