When to change to twice a day

Ru has had 3 meals a day since we got him, he's 7 months old now. He's on about 300g of Purina Puppy Large/Robust 3 times a day.
When can we change to 2 meals a day? Should we wait until he is full grown?

I had to go to 2 times a day with Heart when she was about 6-7 months old...She just wasn't eating that middle meal...so I checked with my breeder and we decided to go to 2 x a day...NOW she is 9 months old and still isn't eating all her food...URGHGHGHGGH!!!! (she is very frustrating at times).....

We switched at about 6 or 7 months. This came about because we noticed less of an interest in the noon meal. What we did was to--gradually--take a little of the noon meal, add it to breakfast, and the same with dinner. After a short while, lunch was eliminated with no one seeming to notice.

Some dogs are very driven by food. Some are not. Archie has always been quite thin. He skips a meal now and then, with no digestive upsets or signs of illness or lack of energy or good humor. He just isn't really into food. Now, a good squeaky toy--that's something else. Or really, toys of any kind. Much more of a motivator than food.
   dear me. My 3 year old yorkie is still on 3 meals a day! If I dont feed her lunch time after we have had something she barks the house down. So it looks as if Summer might always be on 3 meals a day. Thank goodness it is dried and not like years ago where you had tinned and then had to add vitamins and seaweed and biscuit and then wash the smelly dishes up....
