It's snowing!!!

Yay! It's so beautiful! :yay: I realize this is not very exciting for a lot of you Northerners, but I'm in Dallas so it's a treat! :D

Nana just came in from the back yard covered in snowflakes. It's her first time to ever see snow! It didn't even snow this hard in Colorado when I went skiing a few months ago. Anyone else down here enjoying this? :)

Congratulations.

I haven't seen bare ground since Dec. 1, 2007.
We had mud for days  I then bath the dogs and nice and dry... I did not want to put them out.... once I did it was snowing again too... It was nice and they had clean feet when they came in, I was happy.
Take Pictures!! :D
In the Uk today we have had about 12 flakes and now it has stopped! I want Summer to play in the snow!

You must be forgetting she said she's in Dallas. She either means there's dust on the grass or by the time she gets a camera, it will have all melted. 8)

20 bucks says we end up there next year, and I'll miss this snow so much :(
Snow? SNOW?

Bah, humbug!

We Chicagoans have had enough snow! You southerns....KEEP IT AND ENJOY!!!!!

(Chicago's had about 60 feet of snow this year..that's about a 6 story building)
LOL... you're happy about it, we're so sick of it I was THRILLED to see a mosquito yesterday during a brief warm spell (a few hours). It went from 9 degrees above zero yesterday afternoon to -19 overnight and fresh SNOW to wake up to  Bleh.

Hey, I HOPE you guys end up there next year, if that means no more danger...
I completely understand your joy at seeing snow, Stephanie! I'm right there with you. We get it so rarely, it's a treat. So go out & enjoy it while you can. Tomorrow it'll all be gone.
I saw the title of this thread and thought, "This must be something old - no one in their right MIND would be excited about snow in March!" But I realize this is a rare treat for you, so enjoy it! :)

Yesterday was a rare treat for us Ontarians, it felt like spring and made me soooo happy. I had a few windows cracked open and I was literally prancing around the house because I was so happy to smell the fresh air inside. The cats were pleased, too - I even let Zora sit on the kitchen table near the open window.

There IS too much of a good thing (like Debcram and Willowsprite - I am so SICK of it!) - so enjoy the little bit that you have, and be grateful that it will be gone soon!

All I can say is that I'm so glad I'm going to Florida on Saturday - 7 days with no snow in sight!! WAHOO!!!!!!!!!!
Melanie! Have a great trip! I'm so jealous! Where in Florida are you going to be?

Sunday was fairly warm here. It got up to 50!!! (Today the high will be 18 ). When Lizzie and I went for our walk in the morning, there were actually birds singing. It really gave me the feeling of hope and joy.

But now...back in the deep freeze
Thanks, Deb! We're staying at a time share in Kissimee and we're getting a 7 day pass for DISNEY WORLD!! I was there as a kid, but my fiance and 13 year old cousin have never been. My cousin has never even been to an airport or even a HOTEL, so it's going to be so exciting to experience all of this with him!!

Thanks for the good wishes. I'll obviously be away from the forum for a week starting Friday, so I'll have lots of reading and catching up to do when I come back!!!!!

That's for sure. It didn't really stick to the ground, but it was nice to see it falling. It's been in the 60's the last few days, so now just back to the beautiful, bare, brown grass/trees. Everything is lovely brown. :)
NOt so fast!!! It is snowing again. I woke up to a white Thursday!!!!

i am so EXCITED

I know! That was awesome. 2 separate snowing scenes in 1 week! And this time it stuck around until about noon. :)
