LMAO!!!! Some of it is true 8O
Without fail, on the first 50 degree day, you ALWAYS see someone in a convertible with the top down. Thats kind of like sunbathing.
This is true of Alaskan too. Of course in Fairbanks the bikinis come out a 40 degrees, You don't want to wait until the last moment to get that summer tan.

Ha ha!! But I doubt most Californian would known how to get into their cars at 10 below zero. (I would know since I am from the east coast) But I have never seen deicing sprays in the stores here, so I think we'd all be screwed and stuck at home.
-5 here the other day SUN out thou and a fellow walking down the streets in shorts. 8) BUT we got to +15  For Feburay it was great....spring fever here we come.
Yep, here in MN, going from -20 to zero is enough to make everybody walk around without their coats, sweating up a storm, especially if it's sunny. If it's cloudy, that means the warm up brought 6 inches of snow, and we're all sweating as we clear our drives and sidewalks.

People here in AZ get out the coats and gloves way before it hits 20! Right Darcy?

If it hits 32 degrees for a minute, everything in my yard freezes and I don't any citrus for another year
ha ha ha! My mom is a native Californian, but had to move to Minnesota for my dad's business for a year or two. She said that as soon as the weather got to around 50, she was out in the backyard in a bikini (and we have pictures to prove it!).
Ah, 50 is balmy, we like to picnic at the beach and soak up the sun :)
I lived most of my life in Michigan and it is true...a very hearty bunch. I've lived in Florida for 5 yrs now and pull out the gloves at 60F...lol This is the first winter I have felt the transition to being a true Floridian. lol 8)
I have seen that one before - with Minnesota substituted for Michigan, of course!

For example - if you look in my last snow day sledding pictures, it is hovering around the 30 F mark - and I am wearing a sweatshirt!

In MN this is almost a spring day! :D
Also very true for North Dakotians, as that is where i grew up. I remember going entire winters in nothing more than t-shirts and long sleeves.

When my family first moved to Texas we pulled up to the house and my first statement was, " there's no outlet to plug in the cars!" Needless to say, i haven't lived that one down:>

I have offcially acclimated to west texas. I abhore humidity now. 50 degress and i am wearing long pants, jackets and swearshirts! I still miss the snow soooooooooo much though.

Ren M
i spent the first 19 yrs of my life in michigan and the last 21 yrs here in AZ....most of that was true when i first moved out here.....now i turn the space heater on at 60 degrees.....

face it, ive turned into a wus....
