dogs and cats

Just adopted a great OES he is soooooooooo sweet, just wonder how he will do with the cats, he ignores them on the deck but wants to bark at them in the house. He minds great so far so hope not to big a problem, he has been raised in house, shakes hands, loves the bed and recliner. My oldest cat is still kind of afraid of him, he is used to big dogs as son as a pyrenees the youngest cat is just a hissy freak. LOL any suggestions

Naw, let them work it out. The cats will stay "high" for awhile, atop the fridge for example or barricade themselves under beds or in closets. Pupper may be wanting them to play and they aren't being friendly. They'll work it out. Cat will give the pup a good swat across the nose and all will be settled. Dog will be #2.
We had one cat, four young OES. The cat would box with the boys and to this day Luke and Rosco still groom themselves like the cat did, and it's been about eight years since the cat died.
