Heart is being spayed today...

Heart is being spayed today.
Just dropped her off. I asked if I could wait and was told "Of course, but it may be a while...." (Only kidding...)

I am a little (ALOT) anxious...

Just asking everyone to please send good thoughts to my sweet Heart.

I am at work (?)...trying to work...thinking only of her.

Sending lots of good thoughts! :ghug:
How hard it is... is will be fine, Blue is next month. It is in the evening when they get home... where they stand do that turn around and lay down over and over AND OVER... poor baby's are in pain. I always have the next day off to watch them and sleep.
sending super duper good thoughts for heart!
Best wishes to Heart today with her surgery. :hearts:

A big hug to you to get through the day! :ghug:
Good luck. I know she'll do great. It's probably be harder for you to keep her calm than anything else!
Only good thoughts to heart and her Mommy on this important day! Tonks and Luna send big sloppy kisses, too!
Sending her lots of positive energy and vibes.

She'll be fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for all your well wishes...of course it is helping me alot...

I got up this morning at 3:30 am...(can't blame Heart on this one  )

I took up all her toys..(I was afraid, since she has become a stuffie terminator, that she would end up eating fluff and it would do something terrible to her while she was under.)

I took up her water...(This puppy is a drinker!! So obviously, she was upset that she couldn't have any..she kept going to where the water bowl was and then running to the sink...) Pearl and Cos were not happy with me either. Since they were not able to drink until I left with Heart at 9AM.

I let her out a couple times before we left and she was more playful than normal...maybe she knows she won't be able to run and attack poor Cos for a couple of days....

I will post after she is home tonight...again...thanks for being here for me today.....
Remember to ask for pain meds.

For her, not you!! You suffer the oldfashioned way like we all do: pacing incessantly. Worrying non stop. Been there. Hate it.

But it will be fine and you'll be so relieved when it's over.

Kristine
hugs to heart she will do well
Big :ghug: to Heart and Mommy! Heart will do just fine. Like Jill said, you'll probably have more trouble keeping her calm!
Hugs from Nigel and Bella. Nigel says to tell Heart it made him sleepy for a day or two...then he was sore and itchy. Tomorrow is 2 weeks and you wonldn't know by his looks "or behavior" that anything was done. (except for the private parts shrinkage)

She will be fine Val...and unless you were showing or breeding (which I know you aren't), you are doing the right thing. :ghug:
Nanny says to tell Heart that she'll be feeling great again in no time. But if possible, try to get away with not wearing a cone on your head...because that is NO fun!!
Any word on your girl yet? :D

I don't think the cone is an option...She would not fit in her crate with a "cone" head...I will be her human cone......

( I am suppose to be working...but gosh darn....I can only watch the clock for 4:30 so I can get out of here and go get her, my precious Heart :hearts: :hearts:)
Hi Val, Charlie and me are sending l o a d s of huggies and cuddles over to you both :ghug: :ghug: :ghug: and I'm sure she will be fine as Charlie was!

You are as nervous and worried as me!

Charlie today she jumped up and down greeting a friend of mine visiting us! She shouldnt jump really! Her stitches still look fine but tomorrow I'm back at work and she got the wear her plastic collar ALL day which she will hate!

But she looks fab now and so will Heart!!

Let us know how she is when she comes home! Maybe it's good for you to be at work today so you can think of something else even if it's hard!

She will be fine Val!!!! :hearts:
Heart :hearts: is home.............she is hurting....is sleeping and is crying in her sleep....poor baby.....

(thanks for all your support!!!)
Glad that Heart is home and hope that the pain meds help soon. Miley sends her best. Sweatshirts/tee shirts also help cover sitches so you can avoid the cone.
Hi,

Sending lots of love and get well wishes to Heart. :hearts:

Marianne and the boys
Happy to hear Heart is home and ok :D , I put a pair of mens boxer shorts on Dutch when she was spayed and she never bothered with her stiches at all
Hugs to Heart. I hope she is feeling better this morning.
Maggie cried a bit too, but was much better after about 24 hours had passed. Thankfully she never licked, just curled up in a ball.
Here is Nigel after his neuter 2 weeks ago...thought you could use a laugh.

Mom...why am I wearing these???

Awww....poor baby. I'm sure she's feeling better today, though. Right? :)

She shouldn't be

Pain meds. Make them give you some if they didn't already.

Kristine
Geez, does that mean she won't be so attractive to Harry and Barney anymore?

If they're like most OES males, they won't know the difference

Sunny's Luca came to our club meeting last night and I had one of the foster girls with me (spayed, for obvious reasons) and it was love at first sight as far as he was concerned. (Did I mention    )

I'm sure their love for her will endure.

LOL....I won't tell IF you won't....
:ghug: To Heart...feel better soon, baby. :hearts:
I haven't be able to check in the forum to see how it all went but please know that I was thinking of you both. I am glad she is home and hope that by the time you read this she is feeling a bit better.
Pleased Heart is back home! :hearts:

I love the idea with the t-shirt and the boxer shorts! Charlie hates her cone, maybe I can get a t-shirt on her, Max' boxershorts are too small to fit Charlie LOL     (her bum is too BIG!)

Loads of thoughts to Heart and to you and loads of Huggies!!! :ghug: :ghug:
Last night and even now, she keeps looking at her tusch and wimpering..she does try to get back there, but I don't think she is limber enuff..She keeps lifting her right back leg like thats the side it hurts most . She also had an unbillical hernia repaired so she has 2 inciscions.

I have been giving her pain meds when she whines too much.

It's kind of strange...when she does whine...Cosmo, my Beardie, goes over and growls at her. He doesn't bother her physically...just growls and walks away..I don't know if he is scared, ---She has cried about 2 times since she came and I think that was because she pestered Pearl and she let her have it...and Heart was scared...not hurt--.

Ali, Heart's breeder called last night to see how Heart was...Ali is so good...she has been through all this and she knows.

She said that since Heart was born she has never hurt or was ever in pain so this poor baby doesn't know what this is. (a VERY privleged life...like Charlie...) She is very confused and scared..

She has thrown up a couple of times. mostly water.

At Ali suggestion, I gave her a little ice cream last night but she wouldn't eat it. This morning I gave her some cottage cheese and this afternoon about a half o cup of dry dog food which she ate. Then ice cream..she ate it all. Now more pain meds and off to bed..

tomorrow will be better..we are over the worse..THANK YOU ALL for being there and caring.....

SHEEPIE HUGS :ghug: TO ALL OF YOU FROM MY "MENDING" HEART :hearts: !!!!
Hi Val and Heart............

I thought of you guys all day today............ hoping you are both doing better....... (Val had an ear ache).

She will be fine Val........and you did the right thing............ I know some people think spaying and neutering are bad, but I can ell you from experience it is much better for her...........

Rosie, bless her soul, had to have a double mastectomy because of hormones........ hey said if i had neutered her at her last csection she would not have developed them........ so all of you with your girls be sure when giving belly rubs to check their nipples for lumps!!! and boys..... check their jewels for lumps too!!

Glad to hear she finally ate some ice cream........... that always makes a girl feel better!!

Love to you both.
Ali & the crew here.
