Hi there-
If I am correct- poor thing has been plaqued with horrible migrains for some time. She hasn't been able to log on for more than a few minutes . She was back for a bit last week.

Raven-- you out there??? We miss you !!!
She is doing better. I will call her right now ant tell her to post .
sorry everyone :( Im still not in great shape. My eyes are unbelievalbly light sensitive, so typing or reading on the computer really sucks.

*sigh* Im due to give in to the nasty rounds of medical tests to figure out why this isnt stopping soon.

blech. :(

My poor dogs are bored, matted and stressed.

also its raining....in Febuary.....in Alaska.

everything sucks. Im putting my head back under my pillow now.....Ill try for some level of basic humanity again later....maybe
This description is why I have not even asked if I could come over. Well that and that it was below zero before it was 40 above.

Laurel I have my fingers crossed that you will feel better in time for the Fur Rondy fun. Maybe it will get cold again so the snow stuff would melt.
Laurel,
I am so sorry to hear you are still sick. :( I hope this passes soon.
We miss you.
:ghug: for you Laurel, hope your feeling better soon. :ghug:

Hope you fell better soon. Take care--and PLEASE let us know how those tests go!
Laurel, I am so sorry you are going through such a difficult time. As a fellow migraine sufferer I can certainly empathize. I am sure your Docs have you well covered but I did want to mention that I tried all sorts of medications before I discovered Topomax, it was a miricle drug for me.
I hope you feel better soon, migraines suck....
I sure hope you get feeling better soon. Migraines are miserable - I have had them since I was a kid in elementary school.

I have never had one as extreme as yours. I hope your Dr runs some tests and figures out what is keeping you so down and out.
Relpax is the med I take - it has worked the best of any I have tried. Less side effects for me too.

:ghug: :ghug:
Hi I'm so sorry your sick, it's the worst looking at the computer when you have a migrane. I hope the doctor helps you
poor laurel! I thought you were getting better
Laurel...get better soon. I miss talking to ya!!
:ghug: Good wishes to you, Laurel. Hope you're better soon! :hearts:
We were all hoping you were getting better, Laurel. Sorry to hear that you're still having those awful migraines. :(
As someone who regularly and often gets migraines, I feel for you. Do they have you taking anything specifically for preventing them right now (other than something like Imitrax or Frova, which you take to kill it once you have it)? When I was getting them so often that I couldn't function, I started on Topamax and it helped a lot. I hope you get some relief soon. I know how bad it can be. :(
I'm sorry you're in so much pain! :( I hope the doctors can find a way to help soon.
Good grief! I hope the doctors can figure out what's bringing you down. ............and it's nothign serious. I've never seen someone down so long over those symptoms. :(

As I always tell ya, we miss and love any post you make!
Miss you...hope you feel better soon!!
Laurel... so sorry to hear you are hurting... hope you get some relief soon and hope your doctors can find the cause. We all miss you...

:ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :ghug:
Oh Laurel I hope you are feeling better soon! :hearts: I know Migrane is not very nice! Sending you loads of huggies from me and Charlie xxx  :ghug: :ghug:
so sorry to hear your not well Laurel and sending prayers and hope that you will soon be better :ghug: , migraines suck
Feel better soon Laurel :ghug:
yes, please feel better soon!! What a bummer. :D
Laurel, hope you are feeling better soon :D We miss you. :hearts:
Hi Raven,

I miss you too and hope those lousy migraines go away and you're back with us more often.

Hugs!

Marianne
Hey...thanks everyone for the sympathy and well wishes :)

Im taking something called Maxalt (rizatipan benzoate), which is a migraine med that melts in your mouth, so Im not so apt to just throw the pill right back up immediately after taking it.(yeah, yeah, TMI, I know  ) But it doesnt seem to be working. On an interesting (to me, anyhow) side note, it is the same med that my father, who is an amputee, takes for phantom pain...I wonder what migraines and phantom limb pain have to do with each other??

Im doing ok today, so Im trying to catch up on the forum news. Ive missed all of you guys SO much!!!! Ive been cold turkey from ALL of my favorite addictions all this last month: no forum, no coffee, no food with flavor, no reading or DVDs no working on artwork....ARRRRAGGGHHH!!!!!

Im going slowly stir-crazy

Even though Ive not replied to many posts, please know Ive been thinking of all of you, and trying to keep up on all the stuff going on.
Hang in there laurel, we miss you.
Is there any connection between your headaches and spending time in your new RV? Like, do/did they start after coming home? I'm wondering about formaldehyde as a possible trigger for you.
my brother get really really bad migranes unexplainable ones ( he had brain scan and everything) his doctor tried loads of stuff (old fasioned anti depresant etc co the apparently help reduced the occurance of them) but hes now on an anti epilepsy drug (he does not have epilepsy, appart from the migranes he usually quite healthy) he takes it every day and it has cut his migranes by probably 90-95%

his would leave him in bed unable to drive to work and something physically sick so he is please with the results

Nope....our trailer is put away in storage for the winter, I havent been near it in months. However, we ARE doing remodeling on our house, and my DR thinks that might have been what started this. Ive had migraines before, and Ive learned to avoid alcohol (especially red wine or champagne) and blue cheese, as those have been triggers for me. Nuts....ya know, I can live without wine&cheese, but I WANT to finish my damn living room! :x

Our new windows were supposed to be delivered yesterday, but the Home Depot truck couldnt get up our icy driveway. I felt REALLY guilty, because I should have realized that and told them not to try. The poor driver practically crawled on hands and knees up to the door to tell me it was a no-go. I suppose its just as well, since if we take a break from working on the house and I magically get better, that gives me my answer.
Get well Laurel, we miss you!
I know how he felt
