How did you waste time this week?

Monday night I was cranky and bloated and totally unmotivated. So I sat at the computer for 2 hours reading Project Rungay blogs and eating Cheeze-Its and brownies. This must win the prize for the most useless way to spend 2 hours. But I really enjoyed it!

What did you do this week that was totally unproductive?

HMNMMM, I can't beat THAT 8O
Well, I've had bronchitis and a cold for about a week and a half and I'm between jobs...I've sat and surfed channels for hours :D
Here is how my week's been...hubby is on a business trip so it's me and the boys.

- After the morning walk I started to pack
- To take breaks I called home and talked to mom&sis for more than an hour a day
- More packing
- Walking the boys again :D
- Cooking dinner
- Then with a glass of wine and some Hungarian salami chatting on the forum :yay:

And because I'm pretty much done packing I don't know what else to do :?
I have had this "wonderful" winter cold and cough for three days....so the only time I get out of the house is to walk Chief... it is -40 wind chill so we don't go far........other than that I have been knitting and playing on the computer...and channel surfing...would love to call all those 800 numbers and spend $19.95...boring :?
Paula, I LOVE the cheez-it/brownies (or cookies) combo! I always put a little piece of brownie on my cheez-it and eat them together...

Hmmmmm, you call this unproductive,... I call it my LIFE!!! I really enjoy it too. 8)
I ate the Cheeze-Its first, then the brownies. I always have to have salt first, then sweet. And of course I was in my pjs while eating.....

Well, yeah, if you're bloated, what else would you be wearing!

I'm wasting time by going to work....

I love your way of kickin back!!!!

Been there - done that --it's the life!
I went to work to waste time......shhh don't tell my Boss
After seeing this thread yesterday, i desided to prepare to waste time tonight. I have made two skillets of corn bread and a big pan of brownies with cocanut, chocolate chucks, marshmellows, and walnuts. I will be make honey butter and pulling up a small doggy maybe a little cat with a lot of coffee. :D

I dedicate this to you Laurel and will be thinking about your white on white diet.

Can I please come??? Brownies...,chocolate chunks...(sigh) if there was a drool-y (is there a word for that?) icon I would use that right now.
My week was frantic, busy and hectic.

I was all gung ho to take some college courses and switch from Special Ed to being a Child Care worker as that's where my heart lies. I was one previously and like working one on one with hard core teens. Seriously! I was motivated by a booklet that arrived at my home offered certification as a Child Care Worker at the new college just 15 mins down the street - completion in 2 semesters.

Had it all set up..through Human Resources and a job waiting for me in Sept. A little tough as it would be 6-10 pm nightly and it would be done. That would be on top of working days ...but doable.
I pick up the package and it's four semesters not 2!!!! The booklet send to homes was incorrect. No way can I do that pace for an entire year..work 8:30-2:30 and then school Monday to Friday nightly for a year. What about Blue, Merlin, Panda?
My previous courses were too outdated so not transferable and I wasted my week getting physicals, borrowing money for the courses, updated background check and tb test. Urg! A big waste of my time!!!

I shoulda stayed at home baking brownies. Did have a very lazy weekend..no walks ...just snuggled up in fuzzy blanket (there was a horrible blizzard raging outside) and I read a 900 page book.."This Much I Know Is True" great book!! You guys should read it!
Liz, you need to post the brownies with coconut recipe. STAT.

Oh my!! :o Quick - jump over to the cooking section and post the recipe. There's still time for me to get to the market and make these for desert tonight. 8)

by Wally Lamb. "I know this Much Is True" My favorite book. I agree a must read. I have read it twice.
I got my wisdom teeth out on Tuesday so I've spent the past few days being horizontal and looking like a chipmunk.
That wasn't very smart.
I know, I feel dumber already!!
:D I wasted time getting the house spic and span for realtors to show clients who don't want to buy it! :? I also began to pack, sort things out and threw my back out in the process. Spent today on anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants, hot and cold packs. Another client coming in at supper time! I plan to drink red wine this evening and watch TV with the troops. There's something wrong with the moon! 8O
Lynda, I thought you sold your townhouse? Did it fall through?

Marianne, don't be discouraged. The college is down the street from you and offers what your heart wants. I firmly believe that things will happen when the time is right. The time is just not right now, but it will be. You are too passionate and dedicated not to be able to do this coursework!

It's 7pm Thursday and is snowing. The weather dudes say "4 inches by tomorrow" but there's already 3 inches in my area and the snow does not look like it's coming down at the rate of a flake an hour. I'm in my pjs, nothing on tv. Guess I'll be wasting another evening!!!!!
WHAT nothing on tv.....Lost starts tonight!!!
 Yes, the sale fell through when I was away looking for a house at my next destination! The current problem is that we're having such rotten weather that no one is looking for a house!

Thanks for those kind words Paula!

WClarke - Wow twice! That's impressive as that book is pretty lenghty.

Lynda - Sorry about the deal falling through...I'm still tempted.

Marianne
Since I do not eat wheat and hate to think much, I just throw the stuff into a yummy mix I buy at the heath food store. Heath food is a judgement call. It does not have wheat or perservative in it. After all dark chocolate is good for you? Therefore bake goods made of nonwheat flour, no paservatives, natural sugar and flavors, and chuck of dark chocolate is good for you health. Not you weight, but good for your health. Adding nuts is good, the marshmellows maybe a bit much. But if I am going down it will be with a dark chocolate brown ring around my mouth.
:D Marianne, where would you put the rabbits and their friends, not to mentions the cats and the boys! 8O
