Cockadoodle sheepie-pig

I think my sheepie is having an identity crisis! Rheba has always been great at sleeping. She curls up on the bed and is cozy until I wake up. Lately, she has been waking up between 5:30 and 6:00 am (all days of the week) and greeting me at the side of my bed. It is a lovely greeting. It resembles a pig grunting. It's actually kinda cute although I don't know what to do to get her to stop. I usually tell her to go lay down and she does but occasionally she returns (about 15 minutes later). I don't think it's that she has to go to the bathroom because she hasn't ever done this other than the past couple of weeks. I don't really mind that she does this during the week because I wake up at 6 anyways...but geez it is a pain during the weekend!! How can I stop this? The cockadoodle early morning sheepie grunting pig needs to stop!!

Aw, that's so cute! Maybe you can jsut take a nap on the weekends :D
Don't bet against the needing to pee. A UTI might be stimulating her. Actually I find if I get up, let them out, feed them........then everyone of us can go back to bed for a snooze. In fact Glacier just got up to go outside after her morning nap.

Maybe Miss Piggy is encouraging you to get up and take her for a long walk......who says don't can't count to 7? They know weekends.
sometimes mine just want a drink - especially if they are in the bedroom with the door closed and the heat on. We put out water at night now.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Sorry 8)
I feel your pain.

I wake EVERY morning at 4:50 AM with a sheepie breathing in my face and a maltese sitting on my chest, we make out first trip "out" by 5AM EVERY day.
Maybe she is just imitating the noise she is hearing?

Looks like we need a new emoticon
  Okay - that was really funny.

And would probably be the case if it were happening at my house.

That's the beauty of crate training. My babies don't get up until after I do.
I would love to think that there is a medical reason that Rheba is playing this game but I really think she is just doing it because SHE thinks it is fun! I can eliminate the "mocking bird" theory because...gosh I don't snore!! haha Maybe my husband does but oh...of course it is never me!
I'd make some mean comment back to Ron although he'd probably remove it beause he has "that kind of power!" :P haha!
I think that Rheba is just doing it because she can...simply because SHE CAN!!! Sassy female!!
Sounds sweet! I love the little noises they make when they "talk". Bingley has a whole repertoire of sounds!
My little one Laci makes alot of noises too. Mony, her bigger sister was not vocal (besides barking) until Laci came. Maybe your little one needs a sister to keep her occupied....
Thank heaven Rheba doesn't bark unless someone comes in the house. This darn grunting is cute but never cute at 5:30am!
I think she knows I am posting about her....she didn't do it this morning until after the alarm went off!
