SPEECHLESS....(HEART does it again!!!!!)

Heart was groomed on Thursday...I was very proud of her. She stayed clean until Sunday evening, when I let her out to go pee for 6 minutes and she came back like this.................( I swear that is mud on her!!!!)

In case you need another view........

AND 1 more!!!!!!

Again, as you can see, her paws are not that dirty...that is because, as I have mentioned in (many) other posts...she DIGS WITH HER FACE!!!!!
I immediately put her in the bathroom, got a trash bag and cut a whole in it for her head and began washing and washing JUST her mouth....

Finally,,.......after much scrubbing, washing, rinsing, blow drying...she is somewhat clean again... Image

BUT...she really doesn't look as happy as in the previous pics?????

Okay; thats an awesome photo. I'm sorry, but this made me laugh and laugh.

My two pups are diggers also, and inevitably, after their bath, they get thier little faces filthy.... FIRST they dig the hole, THEN they eat what they dug out of it.

How good can dirt taste?
No, I'm pretty sure she looks a lot happier in the dirty photos.
oh my thats looks like BLUE
LOL Val.............
She and her brother and sister are 3 of a kind. That's not dirty!! She and her sister and brother came into the house much WORSE than that Tuesday!

I put them in their crates and 3 hours later they were clean... er......... as it had dried and fallen away.......

but i know what you mean.

Have you looked for truffles in the yard where she digs yet???
Oh my she does look very proud of herself......very very proud, then that last one she looks like "aw mom, you washed away all my hard work...."
Are they related??

Judi - this one's for you!! Look at my "perfect boy"!!
Best laugh I've had in days! What sheepdog person couldn't relate to these pictures?
Miss Ellie AKA Pig Dog. She roots through my flower beds like a truffle pig.
8O :?

I thought sheepie girls were cleaner, now Hmmmm :lmt:

Heart what a grub bub.

Dawn
ok; in honor of all these muddy photos, I have change my avatar....!
The puppy in the tub is adorable. :hearts:
Trust me - Chewie was in there right after I took his picture!!!

Heart looks so darn happy with her mud face - it makes me laugh every time I look at those pictures.  I guess it makes a difference when it is someone else's dog....
She looks so happy being dirty!

George is a face digger too and he gets very huffy when I was his face

They should have been bred with black faces!!
but she looks so proud and cute
got sheep:

Are they related??

Yes!!!! They both have that rare recessive "piggy" gene.

(oops!! I guess it's not so rare, it is????)
I've said it before and I'll say it again, a dirty sheepie is a HAPPY sheepie
That's hilarious!! It's so nice to see dirty sheepie pictures. Makes me feel so much more normal.

I agree and boy do she look HAPPY!
OMG! She is so adorable! That's a fantastic idea to use a garbage bag so as not to get the rest of her wet!
I love the trash bag idea too!!!! My Daisy was about 16 weeks old when we got her, she is a big bouncy 10 months now. I remember her breeder telling me she liked to eat dirt. I don't know if she really eats it or is just giving herself an everyday mud facial. Mostly on the chin. Anyway her chin is always filthy. I thought it was just her. Yeah! we're not alone....
i only have one word to say....

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
Oh, but she looks so happy to be dirty! She is just too cute.
She is such a pretty girl! Sure brought back memories of when Hannah used to do that. Enjoy those wild sheepie days, they pass you by before you know it.

So are you telling me this is a stage???

That she will not do THIS for the rest of her life?????
OHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! If only I could believe.....I would be a very happy sheepiemom..........................
Believe it. Only a stage.

WooHoo, now go celebrate!
yes, THIS is a stage, however Val, the tp'ing the house isn't! That is a
'Sticker" inherited trait from her grandfather!

NOW you tell me..............................

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....I would much rather her shred than piggydig......
Adorable  It's great to let them be dogs...they clean up nicely as yours did. The picture posted was in the bathroom so I'm glad you clarified that it was mud and not...
:hearts: Gosh she is so darn cute! LOL....the big smile is priceless!
Julie
Nigel does it too!!! Only thing is he digs for buried cat poop in the dog run. My neighbor's cats thinks it is its litter box. Guess what his breath smells like after. YUCK!!! Thank dog for Listerine pocket pack...when he sees me go to the drawer, he runs and hides in his crate. He thinks I can't see him in there.
My first oes was a digger, she never outgrew it but she was so proud of the holes she dug in the yard for me
I forgot when I had such a good laughter!!!!! Isn't it the time to take it easy and put on the screen pictures of our real OES? Fresh from good walk and fun and very happy. And don't scold them before taking the pictures. Chewie looks a little bit sad waiting for his bath. I thought my puppy is the dirtiest one because of our villiage life. But Chewie definitely beats him :o
Listerine!!! It is cruel... :D
Hmmmm, Hmmmm Good! Hmmmm, Hmmmm Good! That's what backyard dirt is, Hmmmm, Hmmm Good!
that is priceless, she definately looks happy with the mess, must be a sheepie thing because Chopin is always proud of himself when he's made a mess and always seem a bit perturbed when I clean it up, lol. Glad she had fun--I have no idea how to get the discoloration off of his mouth though--any ideas?
I am very happy I could give all of you such a chuckle.....

I have to admit, when I saw her, I couldn't believe my eyes, hence the pictures!

The crazy thing is she is so joyful about everything she does...how can anyone be upset especially when you see the smile on her face????

I have seen some very dirty but happy sheepies in the forum and I am so glad to be a part of the many......

As with everything in life...you gotta laugh!!!!..........and I did...alot.
I must say, the smiles the these guys can give are so apparent that I can't help but laugh when I hear that dogs can't smile--I've shown two pics of him (one smiling and one not) and even the firmest believers accept that they truly can smile--its heartwarming as a parent--I'm sure we all feel the same when our happy kids are beaming at their newest adventure:)
they sure can
Image
Aren't the oes just full of fun, my girl is the same but as a groomer I have to keep mine clean for as long as I can. As soon as she's been washed and dryed she out in the garden either rolling or digging the dirt with her mouth.

Val :D
Love the pics, it reminded me so much of Sammy a few months back
