| Oh HEAVENS! Tomorrow I am headed to meet the person who posted the last one on Dallas Craigslist that Druby's dad posted a couple of weeks ago (just haven't had a chance to give an update yet!) I'm picking up Chap, a 4 yo male.
I'm in Oklahoma City, but this is the second one in two months that I've re-homed from Dallas - and this post makes the third! Clearly there is a need for more support in this area! I'm not officially involved in any rescue organization but I am happy to help coordinate efforts. I struggle with three - my house is just not set up for three sheepies and three kids! So I really can't take four.  |
| I also e-mailed the owner today. The dog is still available, so maybe the owner is being careful on who is chosen. If there were not already 3 dogs, and 5 cats in the household I'd be game. (Would have to convince the wife, but Druby won her over, so I'm confident another would. Druby goes to get his neutering stitches out the 10th. It would be great to have another OES for him to play with. My son's dogs are the problem. He is trying to find good homes for them. Being a dog lover, I'm a bit shocked I have no emotional ties to either of these dogs, but they are not endearing at all. My son escued them as puppies (one was dumped near our house and the other was on its way to a kill shelter.) |
