Writer's Strike

Seriously....this is getting old!! When will it be over and we get new shows again??

I seldom pay attention to entertainment news, so has there been any word? :?

Well there are some "new" mid season shows at least starting. Cashmere Mafia starts SUnday and Housewives is new. Jericho comes back in February no that I haven't been wondering the same thing myself!
There was actually a "NEW" Law and Order on last night, we were SOOOO excited!!

Damn writers.
I did hear that David Letterman struck a deal with the writers of his show, so I was hoping there was progress elsewhere.
Imagine Netflix is doing bumper business. I'm with you, I'm almost tempted to watch a football game..........almost. I see two John Wayne movies on tonight, I probably know the dialog in each by heart....fortunately I have a meeting and won't be home.

I am catching up on my reading thanks to this strike. Any more episodes of "Saving Grace" due out? I love Earl.
hahaha, I just told Doug last night we needed to join Net Flix!!!!
We've watched every new movie out, I think, and I'm afraid to get too far ahead on my book club reading list or I'll forget what it was about before we discuss it.

Stupid strike.
As much as I like watching movies, for some reason I don't have the attention span for them on most weeknights. That's why I like my tv shows! Half hour, hour at the most!
It's gotten so bad I'm even letting Doug watch "How it's Made"
Ugh, that's on a lot at our house too!
Joan and I don't have any cable or anything so all we get are a bunch of snowy over-the-air channels.

I've seen How it's made while waiting for work to be done on my motorhome. I particularly liked the one about sugar. That nice white powder doesn't look so attractive anymore. :gag:

I saw "Dirty Jobs" or some such -- I saw a guy sexing alligators get bitten.

I was visiting a friend's house the other night. He has a 50" HD TV and satellite dishes and antennae, and a nice new leather couch. It's a small room. Joan had a hard time getting me out of that couch, I had already begun to grow roots into the floor and couch arms.

We've been talking for a while about getting an "inexpensive" big TV, but then comes the big monthly TV bill that would need to come along with it... so... we're still watching the snow. Probably a good thing -- I might never leave the den with 200 channels of Myth Busters and BIG and How's it Made and TLC and Discovery and ...
All I care about is LOST and that will be soon!! :)

I definitely have been complaining about the lack of shows on though. It's terrible. Mr. J doesn't give a ratz......... because he gets to watch the college bowl games every night w/o me wanting to watch anything else.
