Steve and I followed the dog down the street and rang several doorbells. Noone knew who he was. I got the dog to follow me back to our car. I opened the car door and this guy jumped right on in as if he belonged with me I drove back to inlaws house. There's no way my MIL would allow this dog to be in her home and they don't have a fence. I went in the house to get some treats and water and she said, "Just leave the dog, he will be fine. There are lakes for him to get a drink." While all this was going on, I also called my Mom to tell her what was going on. I needed some support and knew she'd give it to me. My Mom used to pick up strays when I was a kid hoping they would play with our sheepdog. It was obvious to me that this was someone's pet that had gotten out of his home and I was responsible for him at this time. So, we had dinner with a lost dog outside in the backyard. MIL kept saying stop worrying about him |

| Wow, that is awesome! What a great story! |
Good work, Detective Stacy! You sure made one family's Christmas very happy! |
| Good work Stacy and Steve!! That is wonderful - I bet his family was just sick with worry.
And your story makes me glad I was raised in a dog loving family - and married into one too!! |

Well, Annie turned Steve into a dog lover, but he still isn't like me. His parents have 1 cat and 1 dog. My FIL takes care of the pets as my MIL doesn't lift a finger for them. She's always talking about getting rid of Cubby like he's disposable. Poor guy is about 8 years old and is the sweetest calmest Cocker I've ever met. Makes me sad |
| What an angel you are for helping him and I think Jackson must have sensed that he would find help with you. You did what we all hope someone would do if one of our furkids got lost - thanks for stepping up and helping out Jackson and his people. I'm sure you made their holidays bright.

What a nice Cinderella story.
I am very happy that you got the Jackson dog safely back home. |
| Stacy that is so nice! I love to find dogs and see them and their owners reunite! I think it's so amazing to see how much they love each other and how much the owners were worried about their dogs. I had a family who offered us $500 reward but I couldn't take it. I think seeing happy tears in their eyes and dogs jumping up on them licking their faces is priceless.
Oh, Stacy you are bringing back memories... |
| Thank you Stacy, for getting Jackson back to his owners!!!
You did a wonderful thing. |
| WOW!! Stacy...

She is not a very nice woman, but she thinks she is |
| You may not look like Santa, but you made a very good one. |
| Oh my, can you imagine what would have happened if Jackson had a seizure? You would have gone into even higher anxiety, your MIL would have freaked out!! But you had calm vibes, kept Jackson calm (and well fed, took him for a ride (!), he had a great day Bless you for caring and doing something! Shame on owners for not taking extreme precautions with new house and dog prone to seizures. No comment on MIL.......... |
| Bravo Stacy! You did the right thing. |
| Great Job, and dispite the interference you had, Jackson, I'm sure made your Christmas even more memorable, and you reunited a family. ( BTW: do we have the same MIL? ) |

You are now the second person who thinks we may share a MIL. Our MILs actually live one town away from one another. I wonder if they'd get along |
