xmas day

Hi everybody
I hope everybody had/is having a Merry Xmas. Me and my husband just came back from my brother's. We had a very good time. All the family was together...food was...uhmmmm delicious... and we all liked our gifts including my puppies who got a Teddie bear, a stuffed penguin and treats. I did miss the snow though...I was hoping it would be snowy...but....it was wonderful. How was everybody else's??

Sounds like fun. OUrs was good, family together. And WE GOT SNOW!!!
Lots of big fluffy snow, all day. We already had some, but the big flakes falling all day through this morning were so pretty. :D :D
:D We have snow too! Wet , slushy, sloppy snow! I had a lovely Christmas Day! Willoughby got treats and a large stuffed octopus whom we've named Oscar ( forgive us, Oscar!). and a stuffed duck called Ebenezer. Nice presetns arrived and a splendid dinner with freinds. :D
We had a great time visiting Tony's family in St. Louis. Being Jewish, I never "saw" Christmas through a child's eyes before. Our niece and nephew are 3 and 4. WOW! The energy level in the house was right outta the roof! It was great to be part of. But I must admit...I don't think I could have handled another day of it! (Must be getting old).

Our flight came in late last night. The dogs were so happy to see us, until they smelly my BIL's golden retriever on me. Its like I was cheating on them!

Since it was so late, we told Pirate and Keira, Pirate's birthday is this coming Saturday, and we would celebrate then. We have tons of toys for them, but we just were too tired to do it last night.

Hope everyone else had a great Christmas too!
Happy Holidays! It was quite an eventful dramatic day. The day started well enough with Steve and I opening up presents and stocking gifts from one another. Then we drove out to my inlaws home for late afternoon food. I won't get into all the family drama however...I located the home of a dog that was roaming the neighborhood. I'll post in another thread. We were at the house for maybe only a 1/2 hour and their cocker spaniel
Another big haul for me this year. :) I'm over 30 and I still see Christmas through the eyes of a child! I love, love, love opening presents and playing with toys and doing all the kid stuff. I got some new video games from James and I also collect vinyl toys (like these: http://www.kidrobot.com/products.cfm?&d ... p=KIDROBOT) and I got a bunch of those, too. Also lots of dog grooming supplies that I asked for, which was great. I also love watching people unwrap presents just as much. I love shopping for stuff that people will like.

Christmas Eve is the most fun for me though. We go to James's dad's house and all the nieces and nephews are there and we open gifts. I'm the one down on the floor with the kids all super excited yelling "Open faster! Open another one!" The kids are a lot of fun. I make the girls play fashion show and try on all their new clothes and then we tear open all the new toys to the dismay of their parents.
LOL, Jill.

You would love a Finch family Christmas!!! The insanity is contagious! :D
All the kids, grandkids, presents, wrapping paper flying......
We've have had a great few days! Saturday was spent getting ready for Sunday-- we had 47 total. LOTS of food- wrapping paper flying... my little great nieces were adorable. Skyler ( who is 2 1/2) was under the tree and she kept saying " Look for the presents that start with "S" . That could have been my brother Scott as well as my Dad's friend Sharon. :D She just KNEW they were all for Skyler. I have to say, both she and Alayna ( 8 months) both made a haul. Monday was more merriment with John's Mom , step Dad and a brother
Breakfast was fun at my sisters Christmas morning and we had 34 people in and out last night. Finger foods, punch and drinks were running low. We only anticipated 15- 20 at the most! 8O We invited 40- and I always figure 50% at the most for an Open House on Christmas night.

Max was the hit of the party. Snuggling up to the kids--- greeting the guests at the front door. A real gentleman!

We all got too much, ate too much - some of us drank too much ( not me). A good time was had by ALL!
