Going to Va for new years

So I need some help. Going to Va to visit with a special friend for a few days. She said it was ok to bring the dog, but here one dog is not the friendliest towards other dogs (older ,depends on her mood). She mentioned that she would just put her dog in the bedroom and everything would be fine. My parents said they would be happy to watch Obe for a few days while I'm gone. I want to take himand she wants me to bring him but,( there is that word again) then again I don't. I just feel it would be easier on both to leave him in Ga. What do you all think?

When people know you travel everywhere with your dog they may say the dog is welcome just so you'll visit with them. They may not actually be so keen on having another dog in the house.

If you have any reservations about Obe and your friend's dog getting along, I'd vote for leaving Obe with your parents. He'd be in familiar surroundings and you'd be free to visit with your friend rather than worry about potty accidents or dog fights.
Go by your gut instincts. If they are telling you "no" then leave Obe with your parents. Besides, doesn't Obe have a job at your parents business as a "Greeter"? What would they do without him at holiday time? Have a safe trip. :D
So true Violet. How would it be a new years celebration at the Stockton House (name of restaurant) without my big furry boy welcoming everyone. My gut said to leave him but I really hate doing that. Especially during this time of the year.
Just a note that Obe doesn't know what time of year it is.
