Twas The Night Before Christmas - Sheepie Version
Not a sheepie was stirring, but Lucky, London & Sam. The dog bowls were lined up by the chimney with care, In hopes that treats and toys would magically appear. All over the world sheepies slept in their homes, With dreams of cookies, play toys and bones. But the Mafia was worried, so restless they lay For they knew other sheepies would not have it this way. No warm beds, no hugs or kisses, No treats or brushing or even well wishes. The man with the sleigh could be the trick, But how to get hold of good ole St Nick. So they laid in wait for the fat jolly fellow, And just after midnight there came a loud bellow. They ran to the door and barked greetings galore, Rudolph the Reindeer, was outside the door. And down from the chimney came a loud roar, Santa’s big boots went thud on the floor. This was their chance, to add to his list, All the lost sheepies that he may have missed. Santa with eyes so bright, and shiny with tears Listened intently while they told him their fears. He nodded and said “I know of their plight And homes will be found, it will be alright.” And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose, Leaving ashes and soot on London’s big nose. A piece of paper lay in the grate, Naturally the three had to investigate. Could it really be part of his Christmas list, But what was the meaning, what was the gist. Sam looked at Lucky, could it be a fraud, “Foster and permanent homes found at OES.ORG?” “But this was the place where our dreams came true” Said Lucky to London, “and Sam even you!” Now feeling much better, they jumped on the bed, Dreams of nylabones, and toys returned to their head. There was just one thing left, to put the world right “Merry Christmas All Sheepies and To All A Goodnight! |
