I should have been wrapping and... and... and... WHY can't I get motivated??? Come on guys--- shame into getting my butt in gear! |

I don't think you're bored....you're unmotivated. Avoiding. JUST LIKE ME! I was so far ahead of the game, then we had this treacherous ice storm last week, now I'm behind and I can't even get motivated to look at it all. |
If your anything like me, you just need a little more...PANIC!!!!!!
Only 7 days to go! I only now (minutes ago) finished my last Christmas special order...one of several I took back in September! NOW I get to start my personal Christmas stuff! |
You must be one of those people that get motivated when time is ticking ..work best under pressure ..that sort of thing. I get lazy when I have day off, besides sometimes it just good to recoup and do nothing!

Shame on you ONLY if this was Christmas Eve and trying to get everything done like my husband. This to many people is still early. You're still in the clear |
Sorry, you'll get no push from me. Sometimes you just need a day to do NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Come on guys... now you are talking me into doing nothing again TODAY....
I keep thinking ..I'll just relax and enjoy my vacation one more day... I have 42 people coming Sunday... cookies still to bake- shopping that still needs done- wrapping--- a quilt to put some finishing touches on... and here I sit. Posting on the forum. I think I am becoming an addict. |
Hubby and I had a Christmas Present Wrapping Party last night. We got a bottle of wine, ate some cookies, and wrapped ALL of the presents. It was great! Oliver found 2 of his, so now I have to go get him 2 more, but he was pretty excited about them, so I couldn't take them away... |
Lori if I had 42 people coming for dinner I'd be in a cleaning and baking frenzy by now! I'd be a whirling dervish that looked a little like the Tasmanian devil on the old WB cartoons.
How can you be so calm?? |

How can you be so calm?? Most years I would be the same way!!!! The house is in good shape- as I have redone- papered etc., each room has had a really good cleaning- from top to bottom. So-- I will just have to dust, run the sweeper- clean bathrooms ect on Saturday. The baking - well that is a differnet story. I did 12 dozen cookies/ sweets on Saturday and Sunday last week. BUT-- I have given many as small gifts for co-workers. So need to bake more. I have a ham to pick up-- and 100 rumaki to wrap. And... here I sit. I think part of it is the sadness that comes from John's family being "broken". I TRY really hard to put it out of my mind, but, I am a worrier. Oh well. Like someone on the forum said- Enjoy the relationships that are in tact and don't mourn those that are broken. Good advise that I need to heed! Kitchen-- here I come! |
