Marmalade

We had to put Marmalade, our 9 year old Norwegian Forest Cat (think Maine Coon) to sleep this afternoon. He's been ill since he was born and was a very special boy, particularly bonded with Karen. His heart had been getting worse lately and the medicine wasn't helping at all. So, we had to make that sad decision.

Just needed to share.

I'm so sorry for your loss of your sweet little Marmalade. Extra hugs for all sad critters, both four and two legged.
I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Marmalade. He must have been a beautiful big ole softy as these types usually are, and I know his loss must be difficult for your and your family.

Hugs to you all

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your beautiful cat. Marmalade. She will be greatly missed. Strength to you and your family during this time of grief.

Tears,
I'm sorry to hear about Marmalade. I hope yor heart stops hurting soon. Was he an orange (ginger) kitty?
Always such a hard decision. I am so sorry.
What a sad and difficult decision to have to make. I'm very sorry for your loss. :(
Thank you all.

Yes, Marmalade was an orange (red/ginger) and white boy. The sweetest cat-soul ever. We called him "The King" because he'd sleep on the bed by the pillows and no one bothered him. The other cats, even when they were kittens, knew to play gently with Marmalade. But there were also times he'd be a "wild" cat, especially with his jiggle ball (ping pong with a rattle in it). He'd get really flat and chase his tail, looking very ferosious (sp?) all the time.

We know that he feels better, his eyes are clear, breathing well, and heart is beating strongly.
so sorry for you loss
No one but a true pet lover can understand how difficult the loss of one of our four-legged babies is. You have come to the right place for both sympathy and empathy. Take comfort in the thought of her up there beyond the Rainbow Bridge, not only healthy but very happy. She is likely playing with cat nip in a giant room FILLED with those jingle balls she loves so much, and there are just cans and cans of tuna all over the place. She is happy and waiting for you when you get there many years from now...our thoughts are with you.
So sorry!!
Sorry to hear about the kitty.
I'm so sorry!
 soooo sorry for you & your family, its never easy, our thoughts are with you
Although it is such a difficult decision to make, sometimes it's the most loving thing we can do for our furbabies. I am so sorry for your loss.
