baby kitten's home

Hi! The baby is home and the cat brothers are NOT happy! They are hissing and took a swipe at her! So she is in a doggy crate with food and litterbox. She is so tiny and I am afraid that if I let her out, the boys will eat her. How long will it take for them to get used to her? What else should I do? Mopsey loves her and want to play with the new furry baby... she hisses and runs away! LOL Any suggestions? Will they ever like her?

It might just take time. I don't think your other kittens would hurt her, but don't force them to spend time together, let them go to each other. The kitten will probably go to them first, and they may still hiss and act threatening for a while, but they usually work things out best on their own.
When do we get to see pictures?! :)
Best bet is to introduce them on opposite sides of a closed door. Let them all get used to each other's scent before putting her right into the ring with them. Don't rush it...it'll take time.
thanks everyone! She is doing great! Eats like a little hog! LOL Every couple of hours! I carry her around in my shirt for now and she sleeps in there too! Otherwise I keep in Mopsey's old crate...with a wire door so that everyone can see and smell her. Huck is really ok with her, and so is Mop, but she gets so excited and wants to play with her. So Becky (yeap, changed her name, LOL) runs and hides! Tom is the one that is really pissed off! He doesn't attack her anymore, just hisses. *sigh* So anyhow, she will be spending the nights in our room in her crate...and the days in a seperate room from everyone else behind closed doors until she gets bigger. Should be a week or two, i would think. Hubby is huffy and puffy because I insist on having her in the crate, and he's like "we got a cat whome we keep in a cage..." whatever. He will have to get over it. She is the most adorable thing! I tried to upload a picture, but it was too big and I am too tired to resize it now. So what do you think, a few weeks should get everyone settled down? Oy! LOL
I'm sure they'll all be fine soon....
glad to see you post marley, I was beginning to think the board was deserted! LOL
I'm just bored..........
Marley,

I so glad she was able to come home. How much did she have to weigh before she could come home. Mopsey has her a new friend to herd around the house. Don't worry Tom will come around. It will probably just take a week or so.
How are you feeling since having the flu? My dad is still coughing pretty bad after getting over pneumonia. I am too lazy to spell check that. LOL
My kittens will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. My, how time flies.
I look forward to seeing Po...er, I mean Becky. LOL
Congratulations on getting her home!
Stormi and co.
She is such a little ham! She eats all day, and we made some potroast and gave her a little peice! Well, she inhaled it! LOL I locked her in one of the spare bedrooms when we left for work this morning... I get a phone call at work, Steve comes home and the door is opened! The first question I ask him befor he can finish "Did they eat her???" He sais, no, she is sleeping in the room and the cat brothers are sleeping in her crate in the same room! Mopsey has positioned herself in the doorway to keep an eye! WOW! Now they all seem to get along. Tom still gives her the evil eye, but no hissing or anything. Steve said he swatted at her when he came in the room, but she held her own and swatted back! LOL This kitten is just amazing! Mopsey is being such a good big sister! She is the one who opened the door, I am sure of it! She just paws at it and gets it opened! Now we have two boys and two gilrs! Perrrrrfect! LOL
See! I knew it would all work out- after all, even big kitties can only resist baby cuteness for so long!! A few more days and everyone will be playing together like they've been friends forever! I'm so happy for all of you!! Be sure to share pics and give the crew pets for me :)

Karen :)
