Happy Sinterklaas Day to you! It sounds like your girls where very good and got alot of stuff. I am sorry you didn't get anything...bummer. Evil or Very Mad
Yes, St. Nicholas day! What, no clementines Shocked we've been pigging out on those around here. I've even trained my husband to peel them and feed them to me when we drive into the city. Wink

Sounds like the children made out well. Maybe the jolly old man will share the horse's carrot with you. At least it is something..........
I love to hear about other traditions. Happy Holidays. Very Happy Very Happy
Fond memories of childhood. St. Nick's days is celebrated much these days un the states. When I was a kid we always hung a stocking on our bedroom door the night before and he filled them with fruits, nuts and candies.
Happy Sinterklaas! Sounds like the girls made out great. Cool
Sounds like a day for children! Do you also celebrate Christmas on December 25? I hope so, and hope Santa Claus brings you presents.
We do that too! Go Dance Except that we have to clean our shoes and put them in the window. And if you were bad you only get a birch. Once I didn't clean my boots and I didn't get anything. I was very mad especially because for some reason my sister got double presents. Evil or Very Mad

I didn't know you had "Télapó/Mikulás (St. Nicholas) day" in Belgium too.

Does little Jesus brings your Christmas present too? And the tree on the 24th?
Oops I'm a bit late but happy Sinterclaas day!

I also liked hearing about the tradition, thanks for sharing it with us.

Wendy, I think you had the best gift of all - a wonderful family, friends and of course the cutest dog!
Very Happy
Marianne
