Today was confirmation that I am of a certain age. I spent the day saying things like: I am certain that I have that. I am certain that I know where I put it. I am certain that I called her. I am certain that I had finished that. I am certain that they said that . . . I am certain that I had a reason for coming in here. Confused

Now I am just certain that I have to stop telling people that I am certain. Because I have no idea where, when, how or why I have done anything today. Laughing I just feel luck that I have not hurt anyone, or broken anything. Smile
Don't worry - I am horrible with names. All of my clients I call baby and honey. One of them told him that made him feel special. Wonder what he would feel like if I told him I do that because I can't remember his name. Shocked Embarassed
That is me too (at least I don't feel so alone).
I take care of my granddaughter most mornings.
The other day she needed a complete head to toe change.
I put her on the changing table cleaned her up & put fresh clothes on her.
She was laughing & smiling (she is a very mellow baby).
I picked her up & she began to cry. Grandma had forgot to change the poopy diaper Shocked
Laughing
See that, all this time I thought it was the HOT FLASHES telling me I had reached a certain age Wink
i don't feel so alone now Laughing
Oh yea...what was going to say? Confused

hey!! i was thinking the same thing...all that special stuff.....bummer....sniff....

Wyn cant remember my name either Rolling Eyes Twisted Evil
A certain pastor was visiting an elderly lady of his flock. During the conversation he said, "Emma, at your age you should be thinking about the hereafter." She replied, "Pastor every time in go down in the basement I have to stop and think - What am I here after."

Welcome to the club. The nice thing about this time in life is that one no longer has to make excuses for the dumb things he does, he can just laugh about it.
This is a funny post Laughing
I'm getting close to where I won't remember that I can't remember Rolling Eyes
sigh....i just mentioned to chris that someone made me home made chicken soup..(for the 3rd time today)..

AND i dont remember telling him the first 2 times Shocked

So THATS why some older ladies call everyone "Honey" Surprised My gosh...it all makes sense now! Laughing
So, are you guys saying you are becoming sheepies? Laughing

I found this dog quote not long ago...

"Did you ever walk into a room and forget why you walked in? I think that is how dogs spend their lives." - Sue Murphy
I was just thinking the other day if I should post about "Being a Certain Age". Then the thought just flew away...like all my other thoughts. I had a wonderful man tell me not that long ago, that it took his mother 10yrs to get "Beyond a Certain Age". I politely thanked him and then hit him..LOL. I came across a web page with 35 signs and symptoms of menopause and yep got almost all of them Confused Its soooo nice to know that I'm not alone and thoughtless.
