good things for 2 years old to make?

my son really enjoys cooking with me but get bored easily and doesn't like to wait for cooking etc

do you have any ideas for quick things i can make for him sweet or savoury

unfortunatly he can have any artafical colors, flavours or preservatives so i can't use box mixes.

he also can't have apples, oranges, limited stawberries, rasins are not good either, no sugar coated colors sweets or artifical sweeteners.

he is a food sensitive hyperactive child, he gets a red rash on his cheeks, and will not sleep (like tonigh he must have had something today that he should not have had it gone midnight and he still wake)- hubby suffers from the same thing

hope you can help i don't mind cooking at all i'm a stay at home mum so i do have the time (an offten cook most of our meals from scratch) i just need to get him to eat and envolving him seems to help.

he will be going to preschool soom time in the next year and i would like to have many of the issue sorted by then

thanks for you time

Poor little guy :( . Could he help you make scrambled eggs by beating the eggs in a large bowl? Or maybe make peanut butter sandwiches and then cut shapes with cookie cutters? Mix pancake/waffle batter? For the holidays could you get some cut and bake cookies he could help decorate? Knead bread dough? Sorry, as you can probably tell I have no experience but I don't let that stop me :D
If your son can eat peanut butter I have an excellent receipe for butterscotch stacks that he can make.

Pour 1/2 of a 23 oz bag (or use a smaller bag) of butterscotch chips (you can also use the milk chocolate chips) into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 45 seconds and take out and stir. Add in 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter and stir until melted. Add in chow mein noodles and stir.

Drop by the spoon full onto wax paper and put in refrigerator or somewhere cool to harden (takes about 15-30 minutes) and you have great treats.
Well, based on what you mention about his food allergies, I'm certain that there are things in this book he won't be able to eat. But it's a great kid cookbook and there will be a lot of ideas in there. We've used it for ages (I think I got it when my oldest was about 1 and she's 12 now). My youngest is 4 and he loves to pick things out of this book to cook:

not a sweet treat but my kids made and love this. Pita pizza... just pita bread with what sauce he can have, he can add his meat and vegys and the cheese and but it in the broiler for a few minutes easy fast and they love because they did it.
