Counting the days is over(death)

Randy's dad passed away last night. Randy and I, his brother and wife and oldest daughter were with him and I think? he went peacefully. Randy told me before we left to go to the nursing home that his family had a habit of passing on someone's b-day. Happy birthday to me. I'm sad but he had a good life and was tired and was ready to go join his wife who passed about 7yrs ago. Rest in Peace.

Sorry for your loss. :(
I'm so sorry for your loss.

His passing will never be forgotten! I know it doesn't feel like it, but after a bit of thought about it, I think it is a gift.

Nothing is worse than the feeling of remembering an important date like someone's passing == a day late. Now you'll never have to worry about that happening.

Time heals all wounds.
Passing on my condolences to your whole family. Bless you all.
Very sorry to hear about your Father in Law's passing.
Indeed may he rest in peace and my deepest sympathies to you and the family.
I'm so sorry for you loss and that he passed away on your birthday. I'm sorry if it comes out weird but wishing you a happier birthday... :hearts:
I'm so sorry for your family's loss. We lost my father-in-law in October, and it is a very hard thing to go through, especially before the holidays. My thoughts and prayers are with your family as you grieve.
Hugs to you both Pam and Randy. :ghug:

I am glad family could be there. I have had patients die with no family there, and it is so sad.
It sounds like he was ready, and died when he was ready. Who could ask for a better way to die than that?

I am sorry he died on your birthday. I have noticed that families have many shared dates - for both births and deaths. Of all the days in a year, things seem to happen on the same dates fairly often. I don't know if I would be that happy to have someone die on my birthday, but it is kind of special, in a nice family way. It makes me think of a circle of life.
my prayers go out to you and your family
It was his time, and he knew it. You gave him such a great gift. The gift of being with him, when he started his journey.

My condolences to you and your family.
