sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I love biscotti

Last year I made double batches of Mrs. J's biscotti recipes, made tons and tons of biscotti. Sadly no one in my family would eat them except me. I ended up freezing a TON and actually just threw some away recently during a freezer purge.

I love biscotti :(
Only the ladies in my family are willing to eat biscotti esp when given other options such as cookies  Most people I know aren't a fan of how hard/crunchy they are ...so they tell me. I won't try a recipe generally unless it came from someone who has already tried it (like members here!) because I hate a crappy dinner. I feel horrible afterwards.

Tasker's mom, did I post my biscotti recipe? I think I'm losing it. I was sure I never got around to it? Was it pistachio?
I love them too, and am wary of people who don't  . I just made dried cranberry/pecan/orange.....YUMMY!
Cranberry/pecan/orange sounds YMMY!!!!!!!!!!

Mrs J you sure did, I made a chocolate one and an orange almond one. I still have the liquer in the cupborad so may have to make another batch so as not to waste the alcohol
Ohh... see I swear I don't remember a thing and nothign comes up using the search button except for WizardMerlin's orange biscotti. I thought you were the one who had those recipes. lil J has been extremely sick because of all the new germs Mr. J brought, so I could be lacking some sleep!!!!
You may be right, I'm old I forget

Off topic for a cooking thread- but I just wanted to say how touching your new Avatar is-- and Welcome home to Mr. J. Sorry about the germs and Lil' J being sick, but, I'm sure that even with all of that going on-- you are excited to all be together again. What a wonderful way to start the Holidays! :ghug:
Me too Lori! I'm behind on the forum this week as I've been so darned busy at work ( I HATE when that happens!!). But, when I saw that avatar this morning, tears sprang to my eyes. I'm so happy for you, Jo! I'm glad he's home safe & sound. :D

Oh yeah - I LOVE biscotti, too. But, I've never tried making any. With the exception of a liver biscotti that Holly posted a recipe for a few years ago for the dogs. It turned out pretty good. I didn't taste it, of course, but they loved it. I vowed never to do it again, though, the liver just grossed me out too much.

However, cranberry/orange/pecan sounds divine!! :P
Ladies and biscotti.......yeah, runs true to the Greek version called paximadia. Of course with the Greeks, paxi is always served at the dinner after the funeral so has a death association to some folks.

I love them as well........do I dare open that link?? Guys can dip doughnuts in their coffee, personally I'd prefer paxis, er, biscotti.
