http://www.al.com/search/index.ssf?/bas ... ews?ncrime[/url] I cannot believe there is a possibility that he may actually be able to get these poor animals back! They have said on tv that some of them were severely ill, and show signs of abuse. I will keep you posted on how it goes, but sometimes it seems these types of things just simply disappear. I guess after the initial shock, it is just not newsworthy anymore. Sad, huh? |

Oh dear, that's practically right down the road from me. Sheesh. I pray he doesn't got those puppies back. |
i know im going to go off here so i sorry in advance. people who run puppy mills [aren't very nice at all].as many of you know my collie (Jagger) was saved from a puppy mill.i had NO idea at the time i got him.i called an ad in our newspaper for a male puppy collie i have looked at ALOT of puppies.i went and saw this one collie pup he was from show dogs very pricey dogs, altho he was VERY cute and cuddley and i knew he would of been a very healthy dog,i told the breeder id get back to her.i just didnt get that feeling of knowing he was for me.if any of you know what i mean.so i called this ad and the lady in my mind was WACKED out!!i asked her if this puppy was a rough or smooth collie and she told me "oh he is very gentle"i thought are you serious?i said no is he doing to be long hair?she laughed and said oh i know im just kidding you,yes he is a rough collie pup.living like 3hrs apart she said why dont i meet you 1/2 way,and of course i was just thrilled,i said ok.so we met the next day early in the morning.the lady opens her mini van door and in laying in a small crate was this little puppy.he looked so sad and right away i knew i had to get him.i remeber thinking how sad he looked and he almost looked at me as to say please take me home. ![]() ![]() so puppy mills too me are NOTHING but the devil....also i got ALL my money back form these [really really not nice people]. [Sorry I felt the need to tone it down just a little tiny bit. I understand your emotions, but we're a family friendly site! ![]() ![]() |

Just an update. This man and his wife got these dogs back ![]() |
What?! How are you even allowed to have 50 dogs? I know even the most active showing kennels with lots of kennel hands don't have that many dogs at once! Grr....
Karen |
Appalling! It is so very sad to think that these poor dogs have to continue living like this! ![]() ![]() Thanks for the update Betsy! Kristen |
Well, if the puppy mill had only kept 50 of them, it would be better. They were able to keep 131 of the 181. Some of the dogs were so sick when the Humane Society got them, they thought they would not make it. I am so infuriated that the judge would give them back. Most of them had never received the first medical attention at all (no rabies shots, etc.). What infuriates me even more is that after the Humane Society paid for medical care for all 181 dogs, they had to BUY 50 of them. |
whaaaaaaat!!!! Gasp sputter oh my.... The judge should have to live in those conditions for a few days, and then reconsider his/her decision!
Karen (very unhappy at this moment!) |
Now there is a thought. Before anyone makes a decision in regards to an animal, they should have to go live like that for at least 24 hours before making a judgement. I bet the pups would have never gone back. |
How horrible... ![]() Kudos to that humane society for doing what they could...... unfortunately, when people buy dogs from these mills, or at auctions etc.... it only creates a demand (in the miller's mind) to produce more. They don't care if it is a rescue desperately trying to save these dogs, if a rescue organization goes and buys 50 puppies at an auction, it is money in their pockets and a reason to breed more. ![]() |
