Miley has kennel cough. Went to the vet today and it was confirmed. We even had the kennel cough vacine. Vet said they have seen 20 or so dogs in the past couple of weeks and that it appears to be a variety not covered by the vacine. Just wondering if any one else has been getting sick too?

Too bad chicken soup does not work for them when they have a cold.

Thanks
Poor Miley. Sad I hope it is not a tough strain.
Last fall there was one that hung on forever and ever. It also was a strain not covered by the vaccine.
Poor Miley!!!! Hope is gets beeter fast Sad But, the cough can last for a long time!
My dogs has the vaccine and both got sick the last time we brought them to the kennel. Sad
Hope Miley is feeling better soon.
We have not boarded Miley, but we have been frequenting the dog park.

The hard part is keeping her quiet. Whenever Miley plays too much she starts to cough more.
The bordatella vaccine is one of the most ineffective, which really stinks. Clyde sends his love and sympathizes-- he's had kennel cough, too. Sad
Poor Miley Sad , we hope she gets better soon. Fortunately we have had no kennel cough in our OES family for a long time, although vacinated for the virus it can strike at any time. The last time we gave ours some ice cream I don't know if it helped but they certainly enjoyed it Razz .

Hugs from all at Tikki-ti-boo Group hug
GET WELL SOON, MILEY!!!!

(Sheepie hugs and cuddles being sent....)
I'll never forget when my Boo started Hacking in the middle of the night. Scared me to death i thought she had a rawhide bone or something lodged in her throat!

Miley, tell your mom to go to the drugstore and get you some human cough syrup........ a tablespoon every 12 hours should help you feel better...........

Ali & all the kids.
kennel couch was going around here also a few months ago I never gave them needles for that, but I do now.

I'm so sorry! I've heard thats just absolutely dreadful to hear - hopefully he'll be back on his feet - with his normal voice - soon!
Aw, poor kid Sad . Feel better soon!
I hope you guys are feeling better! We had to board the boys while we were visiting family for a week and when we got back Lumpi started to cough. He was hacking for a couple of days but then it stopped. They are both vaccinated and we had to prove it to the kennel, otherwise they would have not taken them!

Boni didn't cough at all and Lumpi is better now but I was worried as they never had it before. Crying or Very sad
