Back Splash

Splash or no Splash. I have one of each...

Do you mean markings, as in white in the dark areas?

If so....I have one of each too! :)
Are you asking splash/dash...Violet is snow top, but dashes of white through out her right side.
Frank and Daphne have no splash and Daisy is mostly white.
Tile, but I would like Granite someday.

LOL  I think you're the only one talking about counter tops.

If you do mean patches of white hair in the dark hair, Nanny does have them. She has a white patch behind each back knee (they have knees, right?). For several weeks I kept thinking her legs were just crusty or something, but I could never get them to look clean. Turns out she's just a spotty dog!
3 OES, none have had a splash.
I thought we were talking about pee

Tasker is a splashy guy

splash eint has a tiny one right on his butt.

i don't think he likes it hes always trying to chew it , or maybe hes just itchy

zoe and einy
You guys crack me up. Tasker thought we were talking about pee!!!!!!!. Thanks for the am laugh. I guess "back Splash" isn't as popular as I thought.

Laci's Splash :D :D
I thought we were talking about water bowls when they drink. They're all splash.

Markings - one of each as well. Winston is solid, Lacy has splash.
I guess I'm confused about splash and dash...... I thought splash was spots of color on white, is it the other way round???

I do know that Tasker's breeder was very unhappy with him because he didn't have a solid saddle but had "spots"
Saddle?!!!!! Please stop, I'm not getting any work done here. I can't stop laughing. Tasker has a beautiful Saddle. Can I ride him? :D

To further confuse you, it's splashes and flashes, not dashes! I believe it's something like any white spots from the shoulders back on the body is a splash, anything dark from the shoulders forward is a flash. I think...
I seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, NOT
We've got splashy and flashy Sheepies here. 8)
Both of mine have flashes - only one has a splash. But I think you are actually asking about flashes - so how do we vote?
I'm beginning to have hot flashes here (or are they splashes)!!!!! My breeder called it splash.... :D :D :D
Mine are DEFINATELY FLASHES, NOT SPLASHES. Believe you me at 3:00 in the AM I WISH they were SPLASHES..... (sorry TMI)
Splash some water on those Flashes :D :D :D :D
Obe is no splash, flash, or dash. Oh wait, some flash, ears have black, as he dashed by when I said splish splash Obe you need a bath.
Bella does not hasve a splash, at least I don't think so. But since she is now gray I don't know if she got splashed, dashed or just faded.
No splash, flash or a dash? How about a pinch?
My three are Flashy but no flashes or dashes or any other kind of shes. They all have solid grey saddles. Two have just a pinch of grey on one ear.

My first OES Tinsel, had a solid saddle with two grey ears. :hearts:
Bogie is splashless and flashless but he is splashy and flashy!
My first OES (mix named BRANDON) had no splash. He did, however, have the cutest little white tip on his tail (I MISS TAILS!) that he could wag on its own without moving the rest of the tail.

Portage doesn't have a splash.

ThePas (recently passed on) had a wonderful splash, just like his mom who was named River for hers.

Hudson (aka Satan) our new pup has no splash, but has two definite white tufts on his back.
Of the 6 that live or have lived with me, 3 splashes & 3 no splashes. it would take me all weekend to go thru the co-owned show dogs over the years!

  No he wasn't! That was my thought too!

As for the dogs......how does one vote if they have one of each?
Umm.. no splashes or flashes unless you count very lightly speckled ears?!

Oh, there is the tail splash or flash but I think they all have that?

First look at the topic and thought.... OH someone's getting their kitchen redone.... (I was one of the few who thought counter-tops!) LOL

I'm still not sure about the whole flash - dash - splash- trash- thing.
Well Looking at Baloo as he runs by....

He looks all gray from neck back except his feet -which are white (usually just on bath day). His neck is all white then his head/face are half n half.

So I am thinking--- No splash? :?
No splashes on any of mine, but Panda has dark on her show side that comes up into the white. Looks like someone wasn't looking and kept going with a paint brush. LOL
okay, after reading three pages, I don't know how to vote.

Splaches, Flashes, Dashes and Tile vs. Granite?

Luna has a grey spot around one eye on her fur, and a spot of grey on one ear. Her other eye ahs dark pigment around her skin... I don't even know is that is a splash or a dash, or what. Alot of these terms are all new to me. Her "saddle" however ( thats the dark area that covers most of her body, I assume) is free of any white fur,

Tonks has a white head with 2 dark ears? Is that splashy or Flashy? She also has a spot of dark fur behind one of her ears. Her saddle is also solid.
