Pity Party for moi

Ok...my turn to Kvetch (whine).

I never, no make that, NEVER get sick. EVER!

Last night, right after dinner at 6 sharp, I all of the sudden realized, I HAVE A SORE THROAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't say anything. Within a hour, I had a sore throat and my nose was getting plugged up! DRAT!

I loaded up on Zicam, zinc gum, echonation (oh hell, I don't know how to spell it!). And later did the Nyquil thing.

Here's the thing. I have today off. I never have a day off. My daughter is home from school, and we had some fun things planned, which we will do, but to be honest, I want to stay in my jammies and lay on the couch!

I feel so poopie!!!!! I wish I had a chicken so I could make chicken soup, but I'm too weary to even get myself together and go to the store and buy one!

UGH...AND DOUBLE UGH!

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

(Thank you for listening)

I always want chicken soup when I am poorly too

Hope you feel better soon

:ghug:
I'm sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I second the chicken soup, better than drugs!!!!!!
Deb, that sucks. :(

Maybe your daughter would run to the store and you could do jammies and a movie while you shop online!
Poor thing. Why does it always happen when you have fun things planned? Hope you feel better soon :ghug:
That is bad luck. :(
If I had my bottle of echinacea and goldenseal supplements, I could tell you how to spell it correctly (I'm just guessing). But, my son in law has a bad cold and I gave my bottle to him!

Get better soon!
Poop! I'm sorry, Deborah!
Ask your sweetie daughter to grab some Progresso Chicken Noodle soup for you at the store... if you have an issue with sodium maybe the Healthy Choice is a compromise!
Deborah: Rx for you: 2 aspirin taken with 2 fingers of good scotch and hot bath. Then right to bed and tomorrow you'll feel like a million. I'm sorry you feel so bad.

I'm sorry you are sick on your day off. What a bummer! :(
Hope you feel better soon. :ghug:

And when you feel better, omit the aspirin.

I'm sorry you don't feel well. It sucks, but it's nature's way of telling you that you need rest. And since Friday was a "sick day" you need to take Monday off.
Sheepie hugs will help, feel better soon :ghug:
That's too bad!!! Hope you feel better!!! :ghug: -Allie
If I get invited to your pity party I'm bringing Chicken Noodle Soup and a CD of it's my party and I'll cry if I want to.

Debra I'm so sorry things turned out that way. Hope you and your daughter were able to still enjoy the day hanging out.

Deb - there's something nasty going around. I hadn't been sick in a couple of years at least and wham! Last weekend I barely made it out of bed. Jan G. and I were comparing notes and the verdict is that here in the general Racine area whatever it is, it is knocking people flat on their you know what.

I did make myself some homemade chicken soup but otherwise pretty much all I did for two days was take care of the dogs and crawl back to bed. Imagine my surprise that Sybil could be snuggly and sweet and oh, how considerate of her to be on her best behavior when I was feeling like hell.

Uh, OK. Maybe during the time I was conscious, but the TV remote control and other odds and ends bit the dust in between. Oh, well.

Hope you're feeling better.

Kristine
I'll bet Pedro knows what's causing it!
Well...I just may live! I'm up and out of bed today. I can't believe I've lost this whole holiday weekend

Kristine, I think I have what you and Jan had. My throat was raw, my head was pounding, and I don't have a thermometer, but I'm sure I had a fever, because my whole body hurt.

Today, no headache. My throat still hurts, but is better, as is my body pain. But...I'm soooooooooo tired!

Tony is taking me to the grocery store today, and I'll just pick up a couple things to get us by. Tomorrow, back to work (ugh).

I just feel so cheated! (What a baby I am!)

Thanks for your good wishes. And honestly, I do feel much better. Oh...and can I tell you what good nurses sheepies and border collies are? They didn't leave my side for a minute!!! They're the best!
.
glad you are feelin better that it didn't linger on for weeks like some bugs
Sorry, Deb, feel better soon!
Poor Deb! I hate getting sick and wasting free days off--but at least this meant you could sit around and relax and get better faster...
Oh no! :( It's just awful being sick on the holidays. :( Hope you're feeling better now, Deb. :)
