My new (and first) OES

Hello from Oregon! Our family just got our first OES on Saturday. I did quite a lot of reading looking for just the right dog for our family. I immediately fell in love with the OES! We found a 5 month old male puppy for sale and now he is part of the family. We are quite proud of him, he is gorgeous and an absolutely wonderful, loving dog. He has taken to laying on my feet wherever I am sitting. He love our kids (7,5 and 1) but is definately my dog. He is very well behaved. We got him from a couple that breeds showdogs, in fact his mom and dad are both champion showdogs so I think spending his first 5 months with them taught him a lot of good manners. I am working on training more as well, though I have to confess I don't really know what I am doing! He is so smart, I am thinking of going to obedience classes with him since I am not sure how to go about training him on my own. I am looking forward to meeting others with an OES and learning more about the breed in general. Thanks!
Tiffinae

Greetings from Denver. Ya, pictures I think that most of the people here like looking at pictures of other peoples sheepies as much as they like their own.

Welcome
Welcome to the forum! You'll have so much fun here!
Welcome from New Mexico! Oh 5 month olds are so cute but they sure can get into trouble!

Remember, this is a dog, not a person. Talking to it with more than one word commands doesn't work. They can't understand. (Oh we babble to our dogs, but when it comes to commands, one word please) Also remember to ask like the pack leader. You are #1, your kids are #2 and your dog is #3.....husbands fit in at #2 as well. Don't let your puppie's cuteness blind you to his need for direction from his "dog" pack leader. Discipline first, then love. I know you already know how to give the pup love.........it's a sheepdog!!

pictures????? (hint)
