What to Tire Your Sheepie? Foster a Wheaten..!

An 18 month old Soft-Coated Wheaten-Terrier was surrendered to me today. It has been in the works for a couple weeks, but he is finally here.

OMG.... 8O

In the first 20 minutes he totally wore out my two sheepies...One after another...  This young lad was in boarding at my vet for the past two weeks...He is having a ball here with my guys! I cannot keep him inside! He needs to be supervised or crated, as he will tear things apart...I think out of boredom....but we will see. Nothing like another dog to keep that mouth busy...

Bosley and him get along so well. My big guy gets right down on the ground to play with him, and they roll, and mouth each other, and wrestle...It is so fun to watch...Like Bosley is the big brother...

And Dixie likes to play chase, so they tear around the yard like no tomorrow...But she gets tired and jumps on the picnic table to rest...He hasn't quite figured how to get up there, so he races all around it...

In the house I try to keep them somewhat calm, but it is like they can't help themselves...So out they must go again, to wear off steam....
Pics are waiting approval..They aren't good as he will nto stand still...He is a livewire!

This little guy was an only dog, but from what I see he definitely needs a home with a playmate...He is having such a good time, and we all know that a good dog is a tired dog..

Nicole...he is very cute and looks like a busy boy. I love the way the tail is a blur!!! Nigel would give him a run for his money...if only we weren't so far...don't know if I need another destructo-boy either. lol
Terriers certainly have a lot of energy.
He sure is cute. He reminds me of Baxter (Poodle/ Terrier..and maybe cocker spaniel) our last family dog that died a few years back. He was a serious nut job. He could run for hours and still have energy.
Wheatens definitely seem to be little energizer bunnies! My SIL's new pup came off of a 19 hour air journey bouncy, happy, and ready to play! 8O
Ok Laurel where are the pics of the little one?

Ditto that one.

The Wheaten in my classes that graduated tonight is a never ending bundle of energy. Her owners are on the oldish side and she is an only dog. She needs some serious exercise! 8O

The pictures are just adorable. I so cannot stop remembering the video of Dixie jumping over the gate for some reason this reminded me of that. What a fun household you have.
He's cute! I like Wheatons, I'm just not sure if I could keep up with the energy level of a terrier. :o
