Tumor?

Our dog, Harley, has a growth/lump on her upper chest (right between her front legs) that appears to be a part of her skin and is the shape of a fried egg, thickness of a hamburger patty. We just brought her to the vet for an allergic reaction of which she was constantly itching and throwing up. They gave her an IV for fluids and a shot of Benadryl and a prescription for some allergy medication. We don't know exactly what the reaction was from. We did not notice the lump until today, after the vet visit. Is it related to her past allergy reaction, is there a gland there that could be swollen? Of course it is Sunday and the vets office is closed. We are planning on giving her the allergy medication and if the lump doesn't disappear or reduce in size, we are going to bring her back, but just curious if anyone could give some suggestions as to what this could be.

Don't stress out overnight. I am sure it isn't life threatening...but you may want to hold off on the alergy meds in case it's a reaction to them. Just get her in tomorrow as soon as you can.

There are a lot of great vets out here...this stuff always happens on Sundays...just make sure she is drinking.
Thanks! She is drinking and eating everything fine. We haven't given her the allergy medication yet, we want to make sure she is able to keep her food down first. I am going to call the vet in the morning. Hopefully it is nothing.....
let us know how it turned out
We've been keeping an eye on it all day yesterday, and it honestly seems to have gone down drastically. I am really beginning to think it was from her allergic reaction and it was a welt from a bite. Still going to keep an eye on it for a couple more days. hopefully it will continue to disappear!!
I live in the High Desert outside of L.A. Where are all these sheepies in L.A.? Hope the bump is still getting better.
We have two sheepies actually. We live in Glendale. But I haven't seen any other oes around....

The bump actually is completely gone now, I think it must have been due to the allergy incident. It was either from a bit or part of the reaction, thank goodness, but it gave us quite a scare!!! She is doing so much better too! Jumping and attacking her little brother (Oliver) as much as possible.

Very cute picture. Our Nigel is almost 6 months now...and is an only dog. The cats don't want to play much. We tried to adopt a big OES sis for him, but she didn't work out. Glad the bump is gone...she could have even crashed into something.
