Over Shoulder Police Leash - Where to Purchase?

Anyone know a good store or website to purchase a police leash that goes over your shoulder? I could have a shoemaker modify our current leather leash, but I think I might want to purchase one.

Foz and I went to our first one-on-one with the dog trainer. I learned a lot today and wish I had found our trainer when Foz was just a little guy. Anyhoo...Alan ensured that we were comfortable and confident without feeling stupid. I typically don't take criticism very well and was concerned I'd feel that anxiety, but I didn't at all. I do much better on one on one than in a group setting where I feel like everyone would be watching me.

Alan worked with us to determine what was most comfortable. We determined that I have much more strength and confidence if I walk Foz on my right side instead of left. Also, the police leash should provide me with more leverage as I can use my hips more instead of my upper body.

Of course Foz was great in the quiet no distraction training building. Then we went over to the boarding/groomer building and worked with some distractions. This was much harder for me and I'm feeling sore from working with Foz. Alan said that we did great once I got the hang of it and concentrated on our "About turns". He said if I can do the about turns and prolonged sits then Foz will know he needs to follow instead of lead me. :D

I felt confident when we came home so I hooked up his leash and was able to get him into the house without Foz pulling to the neighbor across the street who was raking leaves and then to sit and wait before I told him he could go in the house. One class and I'm a pro

Go Stacy and Fozzie!! :clappurple:
Oy! I'm very achy today, but at least it's for a reason :D You know what I mean, E.

I'm hoping someone has a recommendation for the leash. Maybe I'll just call my trainer back and tell him I'd prefer to shell out some $ for the leash. He said it would be about $60 and I saw some online, but I'm not sure of their reputation.
Is this the leash you're talking about?

I would think any quality leather lead (like that) should work fine. Luckily, there aren't a lot of different parts to worry about breaking. When you say "reputation" do you mean as a web site or as a maker of the product?

Thanks! Yes, this is the leash. I looked at the same website as it popped up in my Google search. By reputation I mean quality of the product and reputable and secure place I can order from.
Just thought I'd give an update on walking with Foz and the police leash. It's GREAT! We have taken several small walks and I've used what the trainer taught me. Today, we encountered a girl on a bike and a small white dog (these are the only dogs kind he isn't particular fond of..probably because one attacked him as a pup). Foz sat down when instructed and stayed calm until the distractions passed. Then we went on our merry way :D :D :D

I'm so glad to know that I'll have control when necessary. Only issue I'm trying to figure out is that since Foz is on a shorter leash, it's hard to tell him to go potty. This leash doesn't provide any distance for him to go out into the grass. Guess we'll figure that one out too.

Still a long way from being able to walk the two pups together.

Since I'm on new meds, my pain level is much more tolerable and I feel stronger.
Congratulations Stacy. And Foz, what a good boy you are. You need to remember that any steps, even baby steps, are progress. Soon you'll be walking Annie AND Foz together.

Glad to hear your new meds make you feel better.
Wahooo! Thats soooo awesome!!!
Great news Stacy! :D
Here's another site that I got my leash from. I love it!!!

Way to go Stacy....ummmm now can you teach me??? Walking both dogs is still a pain in the tushy.
That is awesome, it's great that Foz is learning to follow instead of lead. I have never seen one of those leashes it looks interesting. Glad to hear you are on better meds too!
