Pirate's new behavior

Pirate and Keira are crated when we go to work. They are happy with it. Pirate's crate is about 4 feet from Keira's. He has a new thing now. When I leave he bangs the front of his crate to get it moving until he butts up against Keira's crate. Yea, yea, very cute. However, he has done this so hard that he has started busting the vertical rods off of the crate door, and the door is bowed from his force. When his crate touches hers, he stops. Her crate is never moved.

This weekend we are buying a new crate.

Tony asked why I don't push them together when I leave, and my answer was, "I don't know. I just never thought about it."

What are you ideas about this silly behavior? Do you think he just wants to be next to her, or is he being a big bully?

Does he usually want to be near her when they are out of the crates? Do they get along well? If so, I guess I'd say he's lonely  If not, then it may be he's being rude
Yep, its like they are attached at the hip. He acts like she's his babydoll. Remember, he's the guy that "dresses" her in my stolen dish towels!

I just can't have him distroying crates!
Push em together then....it sounds like as long as he's in "contact" he'll stop banging around  Poor Keira...somehow I have this image of her watching his crate come closer and closer...bam!...bam!....bam!... 8O
If pushing their crates together will solve everything, I say do it!

Maybe he just loves Keira! :hearts:
what harm can it do to try pushing them together.....if it doesnt work, put his on a no-slip pad so that he cant move his crate (oh and buy one made out of super steel) 8)
Ah, they are so cute! Husband and wife.... :hearts: I think he is trying to tell you something... "I love her so much, I can't live without her!!!! I understand we have to be separate sometimes but I still want to be close to her. - so let's get moving (HINT) "

I say put them next to each other too.
it will only be a true marriage if keira tries to push his cage AWAY

Newlyweds!
Oh my! He can't be happy unless he's next to her, and she is miserable when he is gone to the groomers.

Nope, no marriage. They're just living together!
