Peeing in Crate / Bathing

We have had Kayla for six months (she is 9 months old) and we have had a problem with her peeing in her crate during the day...We know she can hold it as she is out all night and has had no accidents, and we feel it is because of either fear or excitement during the day (when the kids come home from school)...THis behavior is not my question but...

Wha are some methods to clean her up when I get home? I feel terrible when I see that she has peed and has it all over her legs and stomach and there are times when a partial bath is required...However is there any other way of cleaning her up? I feel as though bathing her as much as we are is not good for her skin...I had heard something about baking soda? Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

I have the "piggy" sheepie, Heart :hearts: ...who loves to dig in the dirt with her NOSE...I have been washing her about once a week and I'm getting very tired.....

I just went to buy these towelettes at Petsmart-- They are for spot cleaning and smell very nice. I tried them on Heart :hearts: yesterday after I washed her again, and she came in with a mouthful of mud....and they worked!!! Got the grime off and she was fresh and clean --until the next time.

There are also some other products out there..go to the "Piggy Heart" thread under either behavior or grooming for the names....
