Buying a house

I'm so excited and I'm sorry but I have to tell everybody about our new house! :D

I was going to go to Boston for a dog training seminar but in the last minute we changed our minds and started to look at houses. We had a couple that we wanted to see so on Saturday from 9am-5pm we were going from one house to the other.

On Sunday, we only went to Open houses. Bought the newspaper and talked to our agent who sent us some address. Well, the first two houses were really bad, we didn't even go inside, the third one was awful, 4th was okay and the 5th one was "THE" house!!!!!

It was built in 1900, the owner renovated the whole house inside out (even the electric system) and he painted it, he hand made custom-made wood blinds, shelves, he brought the floor tiles from Spain so it's just amazing! We were thinking that it's one thing that he made everything but he painted and decorated the house in our style.

We also have a huge garage that he built an attic to it and a 0.28 acres yard (all fenced)!!!!! And one of the best things about this house is that it is right next to Lynn Woods, which is the biggest (or second biggest) state park!!!! We used to go there every weekend with the boys and now we can go there every day!!!!

We were very lucky because this house was out of our price range and it turned out that the guy dropped the price 10k! on Saturday! So, we made him an offer and he accepted it!!!!! :excited:

I am sooooo excited and can't wait to move!!!! I will upload some pictures soon!

:yay: :yay: :yay:

Kim, I hope we are going to be able to get together! Our yard is so huge - especially with the woods that we could have a "Boston Sheepiefest"! :excited:

So excited!
I love the colors too and I always wanted a yellow kitchen! :D And it turned out that the guy is a clean freak!!!! :go: So, I don't have to go nuts about cleaning it out when we move in! (Because I'm one too. )
It looks really nice. :D
So, when do you move???
That is a very very nice house and yard, :cheer: Have fun with it.

Kata: Your new home to be is just beautiful. It is great the owner is a clean freak! I am so happy for you and hubby. Good luck!
wow love it looks like it is move in ready, the kids are going to love the yard!!
Cool! Congrats. Don't you just love when it all falls together like that! At first I thought you meant you were buying a house in Chicago, which I thought was not very smart since you were planning on moving back to MA in a few months! This makes much more sense!
WOW...you are soooooo lucky....hope all goes well for you
Yay, Kata!! Congratulations!! :clappurple:  :go: :clappurple:  :go:

I'm glad everything worked out so perfectly! Sounds like you found the perfect house for you guys. :D
 :excited: :yay: Congratulations! How exciting! What a beautiful house!
I love our new house!!! :hearts:

We haven't signed the contract yet but we have signed the offer...the inspector's report just arrived and there are a couple of issues but nothing serious. We want him to fix those or give us some money...

We also want him to stay until the end of January because we can only move in in February.

I can't wait to be there!!! It's going to be so nice to be able to sit outside on our patio in our big yard where the boys can run around crazy and we can have our dog friends over!

Soon I can say "Goodbye 29th floor!"
