Hi Everyone,
I am looking for some help. I have had my rescue boy, Sunny, for 1 year next week. We have had so many problems with explosions. In July, I literally had to throw away a sofa and loveseat, and I brought the garden hose inside to wash the carpet. Yes, it was that bad!
Again, Sunny has been sick for 3 weeks. Sad I have tried rice, turkey, cottage cheese. Today, after 2 weeks of medication, off to the Vet. The vet is now running blood tests for Pancreatic Insufficiency.
Does anyone know about PEI? Or has anyone had this problem? Sunny is almost 4 years old now. He weighs 60 pounds today, he has lost 6 pounds the last couple of weeks. His spirits are ok, he is weak from lack of protein. He has been eating Nutros, for sensitive stomach(chicken, rice, and oatmeal) for a year. The vet has now given me Hill's I/D and W/D, he starts that tomorrow.
Any input would be great!
Thanks in advance!
I'm so sorry - I don't have experience with this. Just wishing you and your boy good results.
Poor Sunny! I hope the Vet can figure out what is causing his tummy so much distress. That sounds really rough. Please give him a gentle belly rub from me.

These websites have more information about Pancreatic Insufficiency:

Hope that is helpful!
Well, the blood panel has come back negative! Good news Very Happy !
Back to the vet on Tuesday to run a CBC.
Does anyone have bowel prolems with your Sheepies? I hope the vet can find something so it can be treated.
