Top 5 foods that cause cancer

So Mr. J calls just to tell me what 5 foods cause the most cancer from some magazine he was reading. I'm sure he's starting to get concerned about what goes in his son with the whole autism and jenny mccarthy thing (she mentioned no wheat gluten). I'm just assuming, I didn't ask why...

1. Hot dogs - high in nitrates
2. Bacon - high in sodium nitrates which is also in hot dogs and saturated fat
3. Doughnuts - for several reasons. he mentioned something about hydrogenated oil and something about the flour and sugar
4. Yummy Yummy french fries - same oils as doughnuts and something about being fried at high temps
5. Chips, crackers, and cookies - too much flour, sugar. also most of these foods that say no transfat, HAVE it in them. might have mentioned the artificial sweeteners and stuff.

Someone ought to tell the USDA that hotdogs and bacon are killing everyone.

The USDA would never admit that they were wrong. Heck, if the USDA won't change it's ruling on trans fats, they're never going to change their ruling on the other unhealthy stuff they approved like nitrites and msg.
Guess I need to start marketing my products. The only oil/shortening I use in making my bread, cookies, coffecake, donuts (baked, not fried), rolls, etc. is butter. (and some lard in my pie crusts). Can't beat the taste!

I love piecrusts made from lard... yum!
If it's not the food, it's the number of vaccinations, wonder what the next thought will be?

A mother could become paranoid....sounds like Daddy Bean already is. I sincerely hope he doesn't come home and start passing judgement(s). You and Little J eat your fruits and veggies (trying not to worry about pesticides from foreign produced products), eat your lean meats and whole grains and have a big stack of MREs for Daddy Bean/Mr.J.
Just today the AMA or the Pediatricians group said that all children must be tested for Autism twice, at 18 months and 2 years. They are sending information packages to all pediatricians in the US.
(off topic but on the subject of autism) - There's a couple that was on the news today here in Anchorage who just got a dog from "4 Paws for Ability" because their son had autism. I guess the dogs specialize in keeping the kids from running off or leaving the house. Apparently a problem w/autistic kids. Just kind of looked weird to see the dog and kid strapped together with harnesses. It would be a very bad accident if the dog didn't do his/her job and ran off with the kid dragging against the cement. :?
Or vice versa. 8)

Just have baked fries. Just as yummy and not greasy!

I'm just happy that a Whole Foods is opening up here in Richmond. That way I'll be able to get as much organic food as I want when my baby is born...

From world news tonight (obvious big things that can cause cancer):

things to do:

Be as lean as possible. I already forgot what they said, but I think any extra weight on a female accounted for up to 30+% of cancer. For men it was less (like 15%)

Limit red meat to 1lb a week.
1-2 drinks a day of alcohol
breastfeeding reduces risks greatly
lots of fruits and veggies
exercise
put down that nasty cigarette ;)
