Mommy takes a relaxing bath...or does she?

Tonight I left the forum and started to run my bath. I needed this quiet and relaxing bath for so long and I was glad to finally take it. Boys are out of the bathroom and bedroom, doors are closed, Charlie is keeping his eyes on the boys so I have nothing to worry about.

I sink into the hot water, close my eyes....and then I hear the door click and two puppies put their heads in as if saying "Can we come in? What' you doing?" (Unfortunately Lumpi learnt to open doors)

I just tell them "Leave me alone, go back to Daddy." They disappear for 2 seconds. Boni comes back pushes the door wide open and brings a tennis ball to me, looks at the water then drops the ball in it. Then he turns around and runs out but then he is immediately back with his duck in his mouth - I just think "Oh, no. Please don't!" He drops it in the water as well....he brought 5 of his toys to me. ;)

Lumpi was on our bed watching this happen. Then Boni got the "Crazy puppy" kick and as he started to run around the house, he realized that I was still in the bath so he stopped at the door and made a run to me - it looked like in the cartoons when the animals start to run and they run in the same spot for a couple of seconds. When he finally moved forward and instead of trying to stop at the bathtub he lifted his front paws and 8O SPLASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Puppy in the water!!!!! I'm screaming, Lumpi barking at us, Boni is having the best time of his life and finally Charlie comes in to see what is going on. When he sees the bathroom flooded with Boni and I are in the bathtub the only thing he said: "Oh, and I missed it!"

Ha ha ha ha! What a silly boy!
I had a huge laugh at that, so much for the relaxing bath.

Gotta luv their inquistive nature I have a sliding door on the toilet downstairs and ALWAYS say to visitors when they want to use it, watch out, you may have a visitor while on there visiting and seeing what ya up too. :D

So who got the job of drying off Boni after his bubble bath dive ?

Oooh there so sticky noses at what is going on behind closed doors, love the toys especially the duckie in the bath, smart Boni.
They are so silly but so smart in the same way, aren't they? Charlie dried him off very well while I had to deal with the bathroom. They were done faster then me, so then Boni came to help me. This meant him licking my ears and inviting me to play with the cutest play bow ever.

He also checks us out when we only take a shower. He puts his head in and watches us.

It's amazing how much they NEED to know what we are up to. 8)

This is much funnier when it happens to someone else.

That is funny wish ya had pic too.
Oh, that is too funny!
You post had me chuckling and what a great story teller you are as I could visualize the whole event. HEEEEEE still wiping tears from my eyes!

I always make sure the door is tightly closed, as when Panda first arrived at my home he did the very same thing, except he balanced himself on the edge of the tub with all four legs. At the time Panda arrived terrified of baths and would go kinda beserk. I drew up my legs and huddled in a ball wondering how the heck I was going to get out of that situation! LOL
The sliding door was on his end and I was stuck!

Learned my lesson against protecting self against sheepies while in the tub, as just 3 days ago I had a nice relaxing bath with two foster kittens in the bathroom. Mistake! Both were curious as kittens are and my legs are now shredded ... The kittens are clean however.

Ahh the stories we can all tell about silly sheepie pups and kittens.

Thanks for sharing yours and leaving me with a knowing smile on my face!

Marianne
Somehow I just knew there was a splash coming! LOL
Thanks for sharing that!
Sounds like fun, except for the clean up part!
And where was Charlie when the dogs barged into the bathroom? :(
Aahhh!
Your description was all too real.

I can just picture your sheepie wanting to be with his people...

Marianne! Thank you for you nice comments. I was hoping I am going to be able to write down my thoughts properly in English...it is always easier in Hungarian. :D
