Just had a wonderful Surprise this morning
There doing a feature story on the breed and also want Bries story too with photos Woo Hoo. It's an Australian wide dog magazine sold in News Agencys and I am so tickled pink at this unexpected contact by the editor this morning, we spoke for ages e-mails will be flying back and forth over the next few days to get this article & information together. So WOO HOO. Brie is going to be a Magazine Pin Up. She has already had her big boof head in the newspaper a couple of years ago for the Royal Melbourne show, now a Magazine girl and her story. 
Plus the biggest thing will be the breed being featured, which is awesome to be able to be a part of that and help with the article on all things Sheepie.  |

That is so cool! Not surprising at all considering how pretty your sheepies are!!! When she gets her photos taken, you should put her in the bunny outfit/ears I've seen you post, so when all the doggies see her... they can really have their own centerfold bunnydog.  |

| Thanks everyone, I am really so excited especially as the main part of the article is going to be "A road Test/feature" on the OES. The Pros and Cons of the breed.
I am working in with the OES club of Vic. too, just contacted the Secretary of the club this morning to make sure we get this right for information on the overall aspects of the breed and the advantages and non advantages in having an OES. Great way to educate anyone interested in having the breed, what comes along with that desire, the good, the bad and sometimes the ugly. Also a great way to get out information too on behalf of the Club on how to go about getting an OES the Proper way to ensure peoples future happiness in all aspects of being owned & loved by an OES. 
I will for sure let you guys see what eventuates & how it all turned out when all this is published, they are sending me later the magazine before it hits the news stands and I am still in awe that they want to use pictures and a story on Brie, such a great honour for both of us to showcase & educate people on the breed as well. |

Just had ALL the requirements and questions sent through from the editor this morning as well as another phone call
This is going to take quite awhile to get this all together, rang the secretary of the club again and forwarded on to her the information they require also. So hopefully between her, the club and me we can come up with a wonderful article on the breed for the magazine. Also wanting to showcase that OES can do herding, agility and well at obedience too and do have intelligence & train well in other arenas besides dog shows.
So now we are rounding up photos as well to go with all things Sheepie. Hopefully we can get some great photos of OES in action and working as well. Have to e-mail a few friends to ask permission for use of herding photos etc. Now all that is underway and I have a huge list of information they want on Brie too, so guess I will be in for a real busy week for both articles. 
As well as at the end of this week is our huge specialty show and I also have visitors coming over from O/S to stay later in the week for the show, sheesh everything happens at once. 
So if you don't hear from me for awhile you know I am real busy doing this, cleaning house, grooming sheepies sheesh on and on what a week ahead. |

| Well finished the story on Brie and submitted it today, together with 10 photos of her for them to choose from. They rang and were thrilled with it and J they loved the Bunny Sheepie girl one too.
So I am over the moon with that and she is going into their next edition. Also waiting now for how it all turns out when published.
The breed road test will be in the following months edition and hopefully after this weekend is out of the way with the specialty show and visitors, we can get the rest of this information off to Sydney on behalf of the breed early next week, all of us are flat out at the moment till after saturday, looking forward to this part very much in conjunction with the breed club.
Catch up with you all next week, I have my visitors arriving early early thursday morning at the international airport, so tomorrow will be scrub the hairy/fluffy dusty house before they arrive, at least the girls are up to date in grooming and baths. |

| Just popping in for a quick HI!!!!
Visitors from overseas arrived this morning, 6am picked them up at the airport SNORE still feel half asleep tonight, Oh Well a glass of Vino will help keep me going Dogs are trimmed, washed etc etc for the specialty show on Saturday. My dear old sweetie (Kelsey) is going into the Champions Veteran Parade, which is not judged just honoring the champions of the past. So will be wonderful to pop Kels in and walk around the ring in honor of her & other special golden oldies for what they did over the years.
We have a UK Breed Specialist judge this year so always wonderful for country of origin on the breed judging.
I AM SO TIRED and still have to get through this weekend.
Bries article is appearing in the December issue of the Magazine "A Tribute to a Champion" and the breed road test is for January2008, so keep you lot updated and looks like I might have to scan the Magazine(shhhh) for you all to see. They just posted a couple of months worth of the new magazine and it looks wonderful, but no on line link for the Magazine.  (Buggar)
Brie is trimmed, clean and off on saturday for the specialty show, will post photos of the day if I don't forget the camera. Wonderful entry from OES all around Australia for the Victorian Specialty show which is absolutely awesome. |
