Time to say Hello!

Hi everybody, I have been a member for awhile now and of course topic of some discussion. But I have had an attitude adjustment and I am fresh and deeply breathing in every bit of information I can get from all the experience represented on this forum. I currently own 3 oes Frank, Daphne, and Daisy. I have 4 (4 legged)children. My oldest sons are currently enlisted in the armed forces (1 AirForce, 1 Navy) ( I wanted college) anyhoo I have 2 teens at home. I am due to be an empty nester very soon. I am only 40!!!! I have been looking for a new way to make friends for awhile now and I think this might be the place! I love reading the posts and I look forward to making new friends. Sheepfest 4 did ROCK!!!!

Do they know they're 4 legged?

BTW, look at it this way (regarding 2 oldest), now you don't have to pay for college if they decide to go. ;) The GI bill gave me over 1,000 A MONTH which was plenty to attend many public univ. along w/financial aid. And unlike many young kids, being prior military makes them qualify as independent (getting full financial aid). In fact, I used grant money to buy nothing but junk stuff and didn't need a part-time job. ...and if they decide to attend while in the military, the military can pay for almost all of it. :)

Not to mention the states that have acts or whatever they're called that pay for 90-100% of their tuition if they were prior military.
Welcome Wendy, dogs and kids, from Minnesota. :D

Our kids are 23,23 and 20. We actually finally are the empty nest (as far as human kids go). It does feel different.

 OOPS!!!
My 2 military boys will be going to college on the GI bill. :cheer: They are getting some college credit now. I'm sooooo happy about that... The next 2 are going straight to college. :plead: Thanks for the warm welcome everybody!
It was great to meet you and your family at both events, Wendy! I can't believe how well behaved Daisy is. Is she feeling better?
I had a great time meeting you too Stacy. Daisy had what I called a doggie treat hangover, but really I think she was just soooo tired from all the playing and running. Daisy is completely back to her old (young) self. Thanks for asking, Daisy sends big wet kisses.
Welcome from Barney and Maggie, St. Louis
