reno's and dogs

We have been doing our basement dogs usually not allowed down... but every now again they make it... not a thing bothers them, Sami would help if she could fiqure out how to hold things, I have to keep calling her away, Blue just lays there and goes to sleep banging sawing whatever it just does not matter, our poodle gone hiding in my daughters room, this is usually no doggy area.... cats sleep there.

Any other sheepies like THAT?... have to say I am glad once my shop done upstairs we go, living room dining roon and kitchen. :? Ohhh does any one have the Ikea free standing kitchens?

Mine have always wanted to 'help' any of the various furnace and appliance repair people, plumbers, carpet layers, etc. They also seem to love the garbage collectors.

Often, people in those trades are dog people and I think dogs know that. And of course, a lot of that kind of work involves laying down on the ground or floor and that always means play, right?
Ours help with everything. :D
Ollie used to follow Todd everywhere on the farm. He helped with the sheep, went along to put up fencing, hung out with car repairs, pulled his sled out ice fishing. He hopped in the truck to take the garbage/burning barrels down to the township garbage truck every week without fail.
He jumped in the UPS truck everytime we got a package. The UPS driver got out, Ollie got in. He checked out all the packages while we were signing. When she was done she would say "Ollie out" and he would come down the steps. Thank goodness he wasn't a chewer or a pee-er!

Chewie seems to be following right along too. :D
If the dog has grown up with strange noises and carry-ons happening around him, he will not be bothered at all by it.

Bosley, who we've had since a pup, is not bothered by anything, and wants to be involved. He will often just lay down on or in whatever, just to be in the way so we notice him.... ..

Dixie led a very sheltered life, and was totally unsocialized when she came to us at a year old. She runs and hides at anything different.
That makes sense, we took in a 5 year old 26 lbs cat 5 years ago, evertime the door bell went he was gone we could not find him. Lasted about a month and he finally gave up with kids and family and my clients coming to the house he was tired and may have lost some weight.
Any time we are doing any type of home improvement, Violet usually lays down right in the middle of the project....she does the same when I'm washing or sweeping, vacuuming the floors. For some reason she seems to feel she needs to over see each project. She lays in my flower beds to when I am working in them. Sheepies...gotta love 'em.
Chauncey has a habit of jumping in the mail truck. Our mail lady is use to this as she trained Jake our Lab ( over the bridge 2 years ) to do the same trick. Dog jumps in, gives a kiss and get's a bone. Then she tosses a bone out into the yard to get on with the route.............Kathy
Ollie liked the mailman too - and his lunch.
Stan the mailman (rural route, you get to know your mail carrier) came up to bring a package to the door. Ollie knew he always had treats. It was a summer day, windows down. Ollie smelled a treat, and jumped in through the car window. This time he found Stan's chicken dinner he was eating on the route - and ate it ALL!

(and thankfully no problems with the bones).
