Is it easier to have a child or a sheepdog?!?

I am trying to get myself, my house, and Finnigan ready for a 5 day trip to Miami that will start in the wee hours of tomorrow. While going through all my check lists I am realizing how much life has changed since getting Mr. Finnigan.
First, I am having my Aunt stay with him, so his schedule isn't disrupted. That means making sure all his meals and treats are planned out. I have boiled marrrow bones, so he can have an extra special treat, and all his toys are easliy accessible.
I just finished using the carpet cleaner to clean "his" chair, Mr. Wet Feet has chosen the only light colored piece of furniture as his perch. So, just in case some 2 legged person wants to sit in it, it is now clean!
While typing he has just brought me a chewed, slimy used to be a lint brush. I love my boy
Next on the to do list is to pack my shoes and see how many pairs are left. Any cork soled shoes are long gone, Finn vs. the Birkenstocks was a main event last summer.
With everything stated above, would I consider being without him one minute? NEVER! Would I love one or two more-of course, it's all part of being owned by a sheepie! Now back to the packing......
I guess I needed a diversion from getting ready!

Dogs and kids I see no difference. Its the teenagers  ya got to watch. They are more work or should I say worry. At least dogs do not try to sneak out, try to con you into going to a party that will not have a good ending. And school, homework can not even go there and we wonder why they look at you as if you a dumb, I do not remember taking that stuff AND THEY have the same teachers I had. BUT i do rember doig the same to my folks and they sit back and laugh now
I'll take DOGS any day over kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sistah! :high5:
High Five, Miss Laurel! 8)

It must be easier to have kids, as we just have Oscar and I never do things the easy way! And Oscar is high maintenance........ The things we do so as not to upset his delicate constitution.

Laurie and an Uber-Spoiled Oscar
i have either 2 dogs or 2 kids depends on their moods in reality i only have 1 of each but somedays i can't tell the difference.

zoe and einy
Both are high maintenance
Both cost a lot of money
You worry about both when you're gone
But Dogs can't drive! :D
They can not do dishes or clean up dog poo. Dust.... I do like it when the kids want something.
When I was little I asked my mom if I could have puppies instead of babies. I love my stepson I'm glad I got him when he was 5. Babies always scared me.

Mine are willing to clean up dog poo....but not in a way I'd like!

I'm betting they'd be up for "washing" dishes too...but, again....
George stole my answer! :D

HAHAHAHAHA Marianne, that's enough to scare anyone one off both. 8O

Kids adopt at 20, well past the teenage phase and send straight off to work  A friend told me that years ago, oh why oh why did I ever not listen.

Dogs are special, you can tell them things and they don't argue with you or talk back, no out night clubbing/partying or driving and walking in the door in the wee hours of the morning.

Dogs and kids are at times grey hairs sprouting or loads of fun. :D

Would not of missed out on either. :D
8O 8O 8O 8O oh my :!:
OMG, I am busting a gut laughing at those pictures. I have seen the kid one before, but it still great, especially compared with the equally bad dog one!
