Yes, the severe storms will be over (Thursday is supposed to be baaaaaad) and fingers crossed the grass will be dry!!!!!!
Paula! Remember 2 years ago, it was gorgeous, then as we all left the skies opened up and blasted us, and you ended up stuck in the porn store parking lot?????????
How could I forget?????? I was going to run in for shelter, but saw what the building was!!!! 8O

Last year it was warm and very windy--even tape didn't hold down the silent auction papers.
LMAO :D
I'm so excited! I can't wait until the week is over. I scheduled a bath for Foz on Monday so he can play all he wants in the mud over the weekend :D
Pirate is going to groomers Friday, so he can look handsome for his friends!
Simon is going to the groomers on Thursday. I'm hoping to keep him halfway clean for Saturday!!!
Hi All,
We will be attending sheepiefest this year. We missed last year but this time we will be coming to enjoy the sheepie fun. I was thinking of bringing taco dip with taco chips. And anything thing else I can think of I will bring. Jim of course will bring milk bones for the sheepies.
The weather looks like it will be good.
See you all on Saturday!

Mary, Jim, Keith and Winston
:clappurple: YEA!!!! We're so glad you can come this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mary, I was thinking about you and your family yesterday. I'm so glad you will be coming. Taco chips and dip will be great! See you Saturday!
This am at 4:30, I woke up all excited that its Friday, and SheepieFest! is tomorrow! Yippee!!!! I was so excited I couldn't fall back asleep, so I tossed and turned until I woke everyone up.

I was snuggling with Pirate and Keira, Khobi the cat and Tony. Tony asked what's up?

I told him how excited I was about tomorrow, and he said, sweetheart...today is only Thursday !

 WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Today is going to be a very long day :lmt:
I just ordered the subs. I ended up getting 6 feet because I was told that 3 feet feeds about 10-12 people. So I got a 3 foot veggie delite and a 3 foot turkey. On wheat bread.

I hope everyone stays safe in today's weather. Stay away from windows and if the sirens go off, get in the basement!!!!!!!! I want everyone and every dog in piece on Saturday.
Paula! How many points in the veggie delight???

(I'm bringing baked, bar-b-que Lays!)

Hmmm...that was going to be my chip choice too. :lmt:

what is another good flavor of baked lays?
I will be bringing regular, full of fat chips. Amanda, sour cream and onion is always an excellent choice.

Deborah, a 6" veggie dee-lite has 4 points. A 6" turkey has 5.

2 more sleeps until Sheepie!Fest4.
I'm also bringing a big ol' veggie tray. I thought of bringing fruit, but there are too many bugs and bees out.

Lays makes lots of flavors of baked chips. Doritos makes a baked version of their nacho flavor chips which are really good too.

(I can't keep my mind on work today!)
Maybe you guys answered this already....but what's the best time to get there and how long does it usually last?
It runs from 11am til 5pm. The best time to get there is 11am of course!!!!!
I just got an email from "handsome Johnny" dog. He'll be there, too with his dad and mom!!!

I bought 2 bags of MatchLight charcoals. Do you think that's enough? I figured since the grills are small that should be ok.
I'm glad Johnny and his dad and mom will be there. It's great to have the "regulars" show up every year. I think 2 bags o' charcoal will be enough. I wish Cook County provided grills in the forest preserve, but I guess they don't have any money.
I think two bags will be enough.

Paula...what time are you getting there? We will plan to get there at the same time.
We'll get there between 10:30 and 11:00. Gosh! I hope I can sleep tonight! I'm so excite!

(I still don't know what I'll bring Tony and I to eat. Maybe some cold bake chicken.)

I'll have burgers, hotdogs and turkey dogs to share. I was thinking about chicken, but it is too much of a pain to keep "safe" compared to hamburgers and hotdogs.
Are we really having scotch???????????
Amanda, the permit holder has to be there at 9  so I will be there at 9. You don't have to get there then. The only thing to "set-up" is the auction stuff and that won't take long. Deborah, you don't have to bring anything besides the veggie tray. Remember, there will be 6 feet of sammich.

And yes, Nita was serious about bringing Glenlivet.

I have a work function tonight (I have to work at the physicians' recognition dinner). I will leave early so I can get a good night's sleep.

I bought regular, full fat chips to compliment the baked chips you two are bringing.
Maybe, I'll slip a bottle of Chivas in my cooler!

Thank goodness, Tony is driving!

OH! We're bringing the dogs' new car!!! The offical Shaggin' Wagon!

(Can you believe we bought a car for our dogs?!)
With a name like Shaggin' Wagon, I assume it was meant for things OTHER than the dogs!!!!!!
Uh....

I think we need to rename it, The Waggin' Wagon!
How about the Shaggy Waggin'
We will be running a little late tomorrow. 2 of the dogs need blood tests and this is the only Saturday we have to take care of it. Appt 11:30 - (keep paws crossed that the vets will be on time), then we will return home and switch out dogs, and finally we will be on our way to party!!!

Save some food for us.

Kathi

Kathi, there will be plenty of food for you. Tell the vet you have an extremely urgent function to attend!

Actually, even though I'm old  (57), and Tony...well, not so much  (45) we've only been married 4 years!
I wonder how long it would take us to drive from Central Ohio to the Sheepiefest . It sounds like such a great time!

We need an outing and some away time around here!
ahhhhhh, even better, newlyweds.....need i say more??

YES!!!
 SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:yay:
Hey, All. I have a feeling we won't be there until 11 or 11:30 either. OMG! I'm so tired as I've been up for what seems like over 24 hours. Foz and I are very excited! I don't think I can say the same for the other two footer in the house who is still at work. Honestly, I don't know what we'll be bringing. I can't even think at the moment.

My flight was mega delayed yesterday. We were so late into international terminal that US customs worked over time to check us in. The delay was due to weather, but then we sat on the runway for an hour while they tried to find short enough apparatus to get us off the plane  . Yes, the tried a ramp and two sets of stairs. It was ridiculous!

So it's 1:45 am this morning, and my limo driver gets pulled over for speeding down Lake Cook by the usual cop that sits there .

Steve helped a grumpy me into the house. I was so mean...poor guy was waiting up for me too.

I barely slept as my Manager was in town from Belgium and I had to pick him up from the Deerfield Hyatt at 8:15am. I spent what little time I had in bed worrying about not getting sleep. Then I worked an entire day with the room spinning in circles. I really need to go to bed NOW before I get sick. See ya tomorrow!
soooooo...who else is wondering how their picinic is going?? Its now 4:49 their time.....why didnt one of them bring their computers???????? the least they could have done was include all of us in real time
FANTASTIC time was had by all! We just came home a few minutes ago. I believe there were about 22 sheepies in attendance with their humans.

The location was perfect and had a big sort of hidden field which allowed for great off leash play time :D It was great and Fozzie is now asleep! His favorite friend was Cubby who is a member of this forum. They spent several hours wrestling. I'll download pics soon.
where are your pictures?????????? :?
I'm going to start a new thread for post-party discussion of SheepieFest!4. You'll notice I am able to post on the weekend because I just installed my NEW WIRELESS Internet connection at home!
