broken elbow..............
I was running after my grandson at a park tonight and fell flat on my face...banged up my knee..ate some grass..teeth into my top lip...arm hurting...hurting... Dino (husband) said to me..."you broke your elbow...." went to the emergency room...I BROKE MY ELBOW....(SMARTIEPANTS  )
They gave me a soft cast from wrist to above elbow in a bended position--immobile ( doc said 6 weeks)--I am suppose to go to an orthopedic doc tomorrow..have to make appoint. I can still type... what I can't do-------------hook my bra blow dry my hair..(MOST IMPORTANT) wash the dogs (2nd most important) I decided to make the appointment on Monday..soft cast will be fine until then........................Don't want to screw up my vaca.................. We happen to be leaving on Thursday for Vegas............. :lol:

| ewwww...im sooo sorry!! I broke my right elbow a few yrs ago...its hard to sleep too.(thats when i became a stomach sleeper), and to shave your legs, put your hair in a pony tail, zip anything...etc.....but i still stand by this....

I would shy away from your husband helping with your hair and makeup--- I am in a similar situation with a broken wrist.... it has not been pretty ( and I mean that in the literal sense ) with my husband helping with the beauty routine!!  |
Sorry about your elbow! You'll have a great time in Vegas though, broken elbow or not. And yes, probably not a great idea to have your husband fix you up. You could have him "practice" before you go... 
This reminds me of the Friends episode when Rachel had a broken rib and Ross tried to "help" with her makeup. She ended up looking like a hooker. (....which you do NOT want to happen in Vegas!! ) |

Everything was wonderful........I lost, won, won. lost, lost. lost........BUT had a great time!!!! Everyone remembered me at the Casino and Restaurants....I was the only one with a sling ---
I took a small nap on Saturday night and when I woke up I couldn't breath............I think I may have bruised or broke a rib when I fell and it was just coming out.......Today--------WOW!!! A lot of pain-Viccy's aren't working but I will going to the doc for my hard cast today and will ask him to check my rib----------------------- Oh! Well! Back to reality~~~~~~ |

Sorry you are hurting so bad. Vicoden don't work on me at all...I can still drive on two! Hope the pain eases up soon. Sorry you didn't get to meet Katie on the way home...he drove straight through. Hope the ribs are ok too! |
