Morning travel near Harrisburg-TWO Old English Sheepdogs!

This morning on my way to work I saw two of the cutest oes. They were walking along the river with their owner. I travel down what is called "front street" everyday. I always see people walking their dogs, GSD, golden retrievers, beagles and all sorts of mutts. This morning was the first morning I saw not one but two oes. Very rare for these parts. It made my day :-)

Cool! 8) It is always exciting to see an OES, as they are few and far between.
We just dont see them in Northampton in UK. The last one I saw was a couple of miles away from me. It was a male, cropped, and was about 9...very snooty, more interested in getting home with his old Dad then talking to me!
I see one on my way to work 2 or 3 times a week, always makes me smile. Really makes me want to go back home and spend the day with my boy. If only dog food, treats, and everything else needed was free.
Were they in coat? I have only ever seen shaved OES in the area and only one at a time.

What time was it? I think that there's some stalking to be done!
LOL...Mandy...you sound like me. I've NEVER seen another OES here that wasn't at an OES event. Yet, when I go into PetsMart people are always telling me about 2-3 others that come in there. I want to know WHEN?? so I can meet them!!

LOL it was around 645am and on front street close to the forester street bridge!!!! they were not cut short but not in full coat either, more like a long puppy cut. CUTE i looked for them this morning but didnt see them.

shhh I'm cheating lol i'm at work!!!!
I would have had to stop! Tim and the boys know that when you spot a sheepdog with me in the car YOU MUST STOP! Even if you already have a sheepdog in the car with you. 8O Then you get out and get hugs and ask their names and get more hugs.

Sheepdog spottings make my day!
Isn't it great when you spot one? The two we saw at our dog outing last month were the first ones ever, on the way home I spotted a man walking an OES on Main Street of a town we were driving through. I pulled right over, and I think he thought I was crazy! Apparently the pup was his daughters and he didn't even think Finn was a sheepdog, because he was shaved down
I would still do it again even after that response!
So I went to my favorite sushi place downtown so that I could see if they were out for an afternoon walk as well but, no such luck.
I'll keep an eye out on my way to work from now on but theres no way I can stop of front street in rush hour traffic. D:D:D:D:D:D

 Sheepie-stalker!
How else do you think we recruit people for this place?

The creepy thing is when people come up to me at shows and say they know me from the forum but I have no idea who they are. Then they tell me that they don't post, they just lurk. 8O It can be a little scary!!!!!

A really weird, and slightly creepy thing that happens to me once in a while, is that stranger will walk up and comment that they know my DOG.... :? from her show days! (We adopted her as a "retired" adult) Apparently since there aren't a lot of sheepdogs up here, dog show folks sometimes remember and recognise her! 8O

Hey I did that 8O but at least I'm not a lurker I do post!!!!
You don't count. Just the lurkers.
Just wanted to bring this topic back up. Last week I saw a sheepie two days in a row on front street. Same time 645am. Sheepie was in full coat and a thin balding man walking with him/her. AWWWW I love sheepie stalking LOL
