Clicker Training
I'm just looking for advice on the clicker training- any pitfalls or bad habits we should avoid? Any sheepie-isms with the clicker training that I should be aware of? Anyone not have this method work with the OES? Just looking for some insight from my OES brethren! Thanks Up. |

| I've seen alot of people use clicker training successfully. It's my understanding that the "click" is comparable to a "reward" in training - but the reward or acknowledgement of correct behavior in this case is the "click". Is that the case???
I did something similar with Sydney - but instead of using the "click" (she's deaf) - I give her the "thumbs up" signal. Kristen |
| I've heard many successes with clicker training as well. I have a clicker and tried a class with my great dane. She was a great dog though and would work for nothing, she only wanted to please. I didn't like clicker training personally, it seemed to demean the dogs intelligence in my opinion, but that may be because I anthromorhpize my animals too much. |
