HOw sad................I hope the "boy" was able to get help, after all the post sounds like he is underage and hopefully, social services were called in order to protect him.

The poor pup!!! I wish I knew how to help..Pup looks like a poodle...Is there a poodle rescue in the area???
just too sad
Maybe someone who lives in Ohio know of a rescue who might help.
Bullitt was adopted :cheer:

No one know what happened to the boy :(
What an unselfish thing for that boy to have done. I hope he knows that his buddy found a home - I hope that boy finds a loving home as well. This post made me so sad.

So glad a home was found for that lovely dog. I am also looking to rehome my lovely O.E.S Since my marriage breakdown i feel so guilty that Digby is home all day alone. He is 5 yrs old and really is a lovely dog he has been clipped and is in great condition. My Ex was always home till 1.30 each day which meant a lot of time he was taken out and played with. Sadly i do not have the time that he rightly deserves. I am very upset at comming to this decision but he really deserves more than i can give and since my ex does not have large enough accomadation he cant have him. All i want is for him to go to a good home where he will be loved and looked after. I live in Hampshire UK
If the home alone time is your only concern, I can tell you that Joan and I had a dog for 10 of his 13 years, and most of that time he spent his day at home alone while we worked. He was alone 10 to 12 sometime even 13 hours at a stretch.

He slept all day and was happy to see us when we got home, giving a good yawn and a stretch. We spent 5 or 6 good hours with him before bedtime, and he got lots of love on weekends and holidays and vacations too, of course.

Now, Jake didn't seem to mind the time alone, but perhaps your Digby does, and you've come to the right decision. I can only offer my own experience which was wonderful, with the right dog.
Should I say I can adopt... want to just not sure. If it is the last hope pm and I will take further actions.
