Yup, I watched it and just don't "get it"....just a bit too "odd" for me. But perhaps it will grow on me like "Office" did! |
I watched it and loved it.. my Tuesday nights are complete again... (still mourning the loss of Gilmore Girls).
Kind of reminded me a little of Dead Like Me... quirky!!!! |
I meant to watch but was busy brushing out Genevieve and forgot about it. Wonder if I can watch online? What's the premise? |

There is a trailer at the bottom of this link. |
Thanks, Brenda. It looks interesting. I'll have to remember to catch it next week. |
I really liked it. Very sweet. Almost like the Coen Brothers made it. Very wonderful art direction too. |

I thought the same thing, and I don't even have your trained eye! |

I watched it the other night and really liked it, too. It had a very Tim Burton meets Dr. Suess feel to it. |

I watched it last night and this is exactly how I would've described it. It is a little off center, but that is it's charm. I liked it. |

Last night was my first viewing and I think it's great. My husband arrived about 30 minutes in and asked if Tim Burton was involved. When Olive broke into song, I thought, OK, here's the schmaltz, downhill from here. But not so, it turned into a fabulous scene. |

I agree. I was cracking up at her sending the customers away and then the floor guy not knowing she is singing. I also like the private detective guy - he makes me laugh. I have only seen him do serious roles before like on Boston Public and The Nine but he is very funny on this even though his delivery is very deadpan. |
nope, still think it's wierd |
I laughed out loud when the environmentally conscious dandelion car guy chases them down the street in his own personal Hummer! Cracked me up. |

That's the charm for me. I'm not a TV watcher. The show has to have "something" to keep my attention. In fact I was going to start a new topic called TV-AADD. I try to watch all the new shows, but 3 weeks into the season, I'm down to 3-4 shows that I really want to see. I'm chronically attention deficit with reality shows. I can clean the kitchen, catch up on email, and start a Sudoku while watching something like Survivor. I can't watch American Idol. Ryan Seacrest (sp?) can fill more empty air time with yadda, yadda, yadda, than anybody I've experienced. |

Yes we were cracking up as well. |
I find myself catching up on episodes on the internet, rather than watching them the night they're on.
Anyway, I like this show! It's different, not the same old, same old. Can't figure out why the narrator has to have an accent, though. |
Is anyone still watching this show? Did you see the one last week where they did the spoof on Designer Dogs? |
Yes Tammy, Tim and I are still watching.
I thought the designer dog was very clever and then the whole cloning thing on top of it. Very funny. We get the biggest kick out of the private detective though - the way he deadpans his lines. |
Yeah, that cloning the dead dog from his ashes thing was clever. I like the detective, too. I'm still entranced by the artistic flair of the show, particularly the use of color. |
I also like the idea of him keeping his dog alive forever.
The bringing people back to life long enough to question them scenes are usually pretty entertaining too. |
